Steve marks up three maximums in Windmill triumph

THE Windmill were the biggest winners of the week in the Plymouth and District Friday League and in defeating Royal Naval Arms B 13-0, Steve Marker top scored with 11 ton plus scores which included three 180s.

League leaders Kings Tamerton Community Centre secured all but one of the 13 points that were on offer when hosting Pennycross SC but the one point that eluded them was a trebles success for Des Dugdale, Dave Moody and Bob Humphries, in which they threw seven ton plus scores.

Royal Naval Arms A defeated Porters 11-2 and had Andy Bates (100x10) top scoring which included an outshot of 105.

VINTAGE: Steve Marker showed vintage form and recorded three maximum scores of 180 for The Windmill in their 13-0 rout of Royal Naval Arms B.

Bull and Bush secured the last two singles of their match to edge out Railway Inn 7-6 while Antony Hayman (100x14) top scored and also won his singles in 33 (30.33), inspiring Brewery Tap A to a 10-3 victory at Dinky Diner A.

The Tradesman won 12-1 away at Waterloo Inn, the same winning scoreline that was also achieved by Octagon Social Club against City Social B.

The winners had Ryan Ring (25.67) winning his singles in 39 and team-mate Paul Barclay was on target with a brace of 180s.

Mark Hatherley (100x12) caught the eye for Indian B in their 8-5 win over City Social C while Paul Gavican (100x12) impressed as Indian Inn A triumphed 9-4 away at Brewery Tap B.

Steam Packet defeated Jolly Miller 10-3 and had Matt Thompson (31.28) registering the week’s top game in 32 darts.
