Packet B win, but lose their place as table toppers
STEAM Packet B were the only team in the Monday Premier League’s top quartet not to win in double figures and subsequently, have lost their place at the top of the table.
Packet won 6-5 when hosting Indian Inn A and recorded 61 throws of a ton or more throughout, led by Neil White (100x15), but have now dropped down to third.
Brewery Tap are the new leaders after a 10-1 victory away at Cherry Tree B and had Antony Hayman winning 3-1, with his best legs being won in 13 and 16.
Victory Inn A, who had Keelan Kay (100x12) as their top scorer, took all but one of the 11 points that were on offer when hosting Steam Packet A and Porters A also remain in the mix after they won 10-1 when against visitors Victory B.
John Mann (100x13) and Lewis Dare (100x13) top scored for Porters and there are just five points separating the top four teams.
Bluebird A won 8-3 from their visit to Indian Inn B while Ford Hotel and Cherry Tree A were both 7-4 winners against City Social and Porters B respectively.
The Tradesman defeated Firkin Scholar 8-3 while Maritime overcame Octagon B 7-4.
Paul Palmer (100x13) top scored for Maritime and team-mate Kieran Burns emerged a 3-0 winner in the individual phases, with his best game being won in 13.
Glenn Halford (100x13) inspired Prince Maurice A to a 7-4 win away at Octagon A but the hosts had some consolation when Fred Goldsmith (pictured) registered the week’s top checkout with a mark of 150.
