Competitive at the top with three teams in the mix

IT remains competitive at the top of the Monday Premier League table with only two points separating the leading trio.

Octagon A remain out in front after defeating their stablemates Octagon B 7-4 and had Fred Goldsmith (100x14) emerging a 3-1 winner, with his best game being won in 14.

A 10-1 victory for Maritime, when hosting Ford Hotel, has pushed them up the table to take a share of second place and they had Kieran Burns catching the eye when he took out a 14-darter in a 3-0 singles victory.

Brewery Tap remain in the mix after they won 8-3 away at Victory Inn A, after having put 61 throws of a ton or more on the board, including a brace of 180s from Antony Hayman.

Hayman partnered Scott Cook to a 2-0 doubles success with their best leg of 601 being claimed in 17 darts.

Steam Packet won in doubles figures, restricting Bluebird A to a single point and had Luke Johnson (25.91) emerging a 3-0 winner in 19, 17 and 22.

Indian Inn A defeated Porters B 9-2 with the highlight being a 3-0 victory for Mike Whatley (29.47) (pictured) in 20, 16 and 15.

Bluebird C defeated their stablemates Bluebird D 8-3 while Firkins Scholar were 7-4 winners at Porters A and Bluebird B overcame Indian Inn B 9-2.

Plympton Cons edged out The Tradesman 6-5 but not before the hosts had Simon White registering the week’s top checkout with a kill of 146.
