League leaders win big and consolidate at top of table
FOUR teams won in double figures, including Porters Function Room 501 Top 20 League table-toppers Porters Patriots.
In their 10-1 defeat of Cherry Tree, Paul Gavican (28.90) (pictured) emerged a 3-0 winner in 17, 15, and 20, clinching the 15-darter with the week’s highest checkout of 156 and was well supported by Antony Hayman (25.47) and John Mann (25.91) who both in three straight legs.
The one point that eluded them was won by Kayleigh Adams when she emerged a 3-1 winner in the singles.

Porters Pretenders secured all but one of the 11 points that were on offer from their visit to Indian Inn while Maritime Musketeers also won 10-1 away at Fawn B and received good service from both Lee Agar (100x12) and Peter Holland (100x12).
Fawn A won 8-3 away at The Clifton, the same winning scoreline that was also achieved by Brewery Tap when hosting Kings Arms.
Maritime Governors defeated Victory Inn B 9-2 while King Billy Inn, who had Andrew Nation (100x12) top scoring, edged out Octagon Social Club by the narrowest of margins.
There was also a close encounter at Torpoint Cons that went right down to the wire. Andrew Waters (100x13) hit a 15-darter in a 3-0 singles win to bring the sides level at 5-5 only for Falstaff’s Paddy Archibald (100x15) to hit a brace of 180s in a 3-2 singles success and claim the decisive point.
Victory Inn A were the biggest winners of the week when they took all 11 points from their visit to Maritime Nutters.
Keelan Kay (30.06) was successful in 15, 16 and 19 and team-mate Neil White (100x12) won 3-1 and finished 15 and 18 darters with checkouts of 107 and 125 respectively.
