A Diary Of A Mad Mann

John Mann's blistering form saw him finish on fifteen tons for Tradesmans as they defeated Indian Inn 10-1 in the Monday Premier League.

The tons rained down in regularity for the champions elect as Simon Washington finished on fourteen ton plusses to be Mann's bridesmaid in the contest.

Lee Agar and Andy Bates were both twelve ton hitters whilst Scott Wapshott ended his evening with a ten ton tally of his own.

Mann, Wapshott and Bates all added 180s to their totals whilst the other maximum came from Lee Wyatt for the defeated team.

Wyatt's teammate Harry Bull was in good nick throughout to finish a disappointing night for this team with ten three figure scores.

Washington and Goldsmith checked a leg of 601 in 18 darts with Washington adding a 120 checkout for the best finish of the week.

In the singles phase, Agar put together a brace of 17 dart legs in his 3-0 win before Mann stole the show with some outstanding play.

Mann (31.99) plundered legs in 14, 17 and 16 darts for a 3-0 win before Bates nicked a classic against Bull 3-2 thanks in part to a pair of 18 darters and a 109 out shot.

Lee Roberts might've ended the night on twelve tons, but that didn't stop his Bluebird B team from succumbing to Octagon A by a 7-4 score line.

Lee Hellings and Lewis Dare were both the main catalysts behind the win with eleven tons each whilst Roberts' teammates Glenn Austin and Dan Hurley were almost as equally impressive.

The duo put ten tons onto the scoreboard each with Austin's tally added to with one of the three maximums plundered between two quality outfits.

Austin's teammate Glenn Halford added his team's other three treble visit whilst Hellings was the other recipient of a '180' call after throwing.

Roberts' 116 three dart combination out shot was the best checkout of the game whilst Austin's 3-1 singles win was helped along by a leg in 17 darts.

Tony Tasker heard scores of a ton or more called no fewer than eleven times during an 8-3 win for Victory at Octagon B.

Tasker's form wasn't curtailed to the scoring phase as he put away 16 and 18 darters in a 3-1 individual success whilst teammate Quinton Taylor heard 'game shot' called after 17 in a 3-0 triumph.

Antony Hayman's ten ton personal tally gave King Billy A the platform to come away from their trip to Cherry Tree B.

Marc Webber showed good form for the defeated side with a 180 on his way to ten tons whilst Hayman's teammate Andrew Cook added a brace of three treble visits.

Kev Lofthouse claimed the best checkout of the match with a 98 single visit kill whilst there was a smattering of short legs in the 501 individual distance.

George Beckett was a 3-1 winner with a 17 darter his best whilst Hayman netted himself a 3-0 win, which saw him put away 501 points in just 14 darts.

Cook and Webber were 3-0 and 3-1 winners respectively with the pair both adding a leg in 16 darts to their repertoire of achievements.

Colebrook picked up only a second win of the campaign with a 6-5 success over Bluebird A that was finally put to bed by Andy Bond by a 3-1 score line with the scores tied at 5-5 going into the last possible game.

Stuart Couling showed good moments for the defeated team with an 18 darter and a maximum in his 3-1 triumph whilst teammate Dale Halford's 82 checkout was the best of all twenty-nine finishes in the match.
