Ben Tangles Ker St In His Webb Of Tons

Ben Webb's eleven ton plus haul was unbeaten in the Plymouth and District Friday Darts League as he helped King Billy win a derby game against Ker St B 10-3.

Kieran Burns made it seventeen 180s for the season with another effort to add to his superb total that only spans nineteen starts in the league.

David Young's ten ton plusses couldn't get Indian Inn over the line as they blew a 6-4 lead to succumb to a 7-6 defeat at the hands of Tradesmans B.

Steve Marker's 180 helped start the comeback and with the game score tied at 6-6, Tony Lamerton checked 66 in a single visit to give his side the win in the final rubber of the match.

Tradesmans A continued their dominance of the format with an 11-2 win over Legends Lounge that featured the highest checkout and least number of darts for the week.

Jayden Dodd nailed a 90 checkout that took the finishing prize whilst Mike O'Brien's (28.60) 35 dart 1001 singles was the best mustered across all seven fixtures.

That bettered a pairs win from Andy Waters and Mike Hill (25.67) who teamed for a 39 dart leg over the same distance.

Waters also managed to end the game as the top scoring player in the match as he helped himself to ten ton plusses overall.

On what was a difficult night for the St Budeaux side, Sean Taylor did manage to add the game's only maximum for the defeated side.

Jordan Grimshaw (27.81) won an individual game in just 36 darts to contribute one of the dozen points won by Victory in a 12-1 success over Grenville.

Dave Jarvis teamed with Steve Harris and Colin Elliott (25.67) to put away 1001 points in just 39 darts during a 12-1 Falstaff home win over Cherry Tree.

Jarvis found the only 180 of the match whilst Andy Tremaine found a 78 single visit checkout that claimed the highest of the match.

Simon Washington's 78 checkout and a maximum from teammate Chris Edgcumbe lit up a 13-0 triumph for Octagon in their visit to Ker St A.

Lee Gillard produced the game's only moment of magic with a three treble visit in Pennycross' 10-3 success in their visit to Mainstone.
