Billy Boyz Bullied By Lugger Lads

King Billy A suffered a first ever league defeat in their second season of competition in the Plymouth Open League as Lugger defeated the Division A leaders 6-5.

Kieran Burns was in blistering form with thirteen three figure scores during the match for the defeated team; a haul that included one of two maximums in the matchup.

After finding themselves 5-2 down, the Lugger hit back with the last four singles in a spell in which Adam Truscott fired a maximum back.

The triumph was completed by Simon Wilbraham who got the better of his opponent in the final rubber of the evening to bring about the rarest of turnarounds on their Devonport rivals.

Ralph Lancaster checked 103 in three darts to aid his Ker St C team to a 7-4 success over Mainstone; a fifth success of the season so far.

Luke Johnson and Scott Wardle both performed well with a maximum and 119 checkout respectively but ended on the wrong side of a 7-4 defeat as Legends Lounge fell to Ker St B.

Kieran Harris' 74 finish was the best for Cherry Tree B in their 6-5 success over Falstaff A that was won in the last tie of the night by captain Nick Miller.

In Division B, checkouts of 110 and 114 from Tom James accented an 8-3 success for Victory over Duchy whilst Josh Pritchard added an 82 checkout for Fortescue as they won 9-2 against Cherry Tree A.

Martin Dean threw a maximum for Ker St A as they defeated Prince Maurice 6-5 whilst runaway leaders St Johnston C whitewashed bottom side King Billy B 11-0.

Division C was lit up by Daniel Brazier who added ten tons to the scoreboard in a 9-2 win for Weston Mill over Half Moon whilst John Turpin managed a 106 checkout in a 9-2 win for St Johnston B over Falstaff B.

Ker St D lifted themselves further clear of Stoke Inn with a 6-5 win that was completed by a Cath Hawes singles win whilst St Johnston A remain top thanks to a 10-1 win over Queens Dock.
