Lee Hellings (28.90) bagged legs in 12 and 15 darts in his 3-0 win as Plymouth City Super League Division A champions Cherry Tree A, formerly the Octagon, started their campaign with a 9-2 success.

Steampacket were the first victims of the season, despite a 100 checkout from Nick Miller in the second doubles that helped the away team secure their only point of the team phase.

Before that, George Beckett picked up the first 180 of the matchup in a 2-1 doubles loss, which contributed to a 4-1 deficit going into the individuals.

John Mann fired his team's first maximum and a leg in 18 during a 3-0 win before Hellings' heroic win, which contained another three treble visit.

That effort ticked Hellings' ton total over to the thirteen mark before Andy Bates reached fourteen tons at the end of his 3-1 singles success.

Legs in 13 and 17 darts provided the firepower for Bates, and Neil White continued the power scoring to reach twelve tons.

The highlight of his haul was a 134 single visit kill, and his pair of 18 dart legs took White to another 3-1 victory for his team.

The event was rounded off by Beckett claiming his team's only singles triumph with a 3-0 turnaround that contained a second 180 and a leg in 14.

Lewis Dare blasted to sixteen scores of a ton or more for Raffles A, but he saw his side surrender a 5-1 lead to lose to Ford Inn 6-5.

Dare's teammate, Tyler Borthwick, was also productive in the scoring phase with twelve tons, and the duo also managed a 180 apiece.

Dan Brazier was the heaviest ton hitter for the away side with eleven ton plusses, and Mark Shears bagged himself ten three figure visits to support Brazier well.

At the business end, a 106 there dart combination outshot from Brazier was only bettered on the night by a 126 out from Tyler Borthwick.

Legs in 17 and 18 darts from Lewis Dare proved crucial in a 3-2 singles success before Brazier bagged a leg in 15 in his 3-2 triumph.

James Chudleigh also impressed on debut with a 3-0 victory that contained a leg in 18, and Scott Wapshott was the hero of the hour with a 3-1 win that came with the scores tied at 5-5.

Fourteen scores of a ton or more rained down from the arm of Glenn Halford, but it was Falstaff who prevailed by a 7-4 scoreline over Halford's Bluebird A.

Glenn Austin contributed twelve tons, and ten more were fired by Callum Strickson for the defeated away side, whilst most of the heavy artillery was put up by two men for the hosts.

Quinton Taylor bagged himself a thirteen ton haul with Paul Goundry ending his night on eleven scores of a ton or more.

Halford and Kelvin Rowe were the 180 hitters in the matchup, whilst Goundry's 97 checkout pushed an 89 from Austin into second best for the contest.

Rowe's 3-0 singles win was accentuated by a leg in 18 darts that teammate Scott Cook replicated in another 3-0 triumph.

Simon Washington's 180 ticked his ton tally over to the twelve mark, which gave Tradesmans the platform from which to launch a 10-1 win at Bluebird B.

Lewis Byrne and Rob May both added maximums to make it three for the visitors, whilst Jon Parsons 86 kill was the only highlight of the hosts' return to the A division.

Cherry Tree D dominated their affair with Legends Lounge A with a 9-2 win that saw four players reach double figures in tons.

Phil Hoyle and Dave Lee both led the charge with eleven tons, whilst Keith Carter and Nick Bryant ended their evenings with a dectet of three figure visits.

Checkouts of 144 and 106 ticked Lee's ton tally over to that mark as teammate Carter matched the smaller of Lee's efforts.

Eleven scores of a ton or more from Frankie Stout included one of the three 180s in a 6-5 win for Cherry Tree C over Legends Lounge B.

Matt Vosper was the only maximum hitter for the away side with Cameron O'Brien bagging himself a maximum in a deciding game that was won by a 3-0 scoreline with the scores tied at 5-5.

O'Brien helped himself to a 17 darter and a 127 checkout in that victory, with Lee Hunter providing the best checkout of 74 for the defeated party.

180s for Scott Heggie and Archie Borlase, as well as a 100 kill for Leigh Oakley couldn't arrest Firkin Scholar's slide to a 6-5 defeat as Bill Scannell was the last leg hero for Fawn A in his 3-2 win.
