Cherry Tree A were officially crowned the Division A champions after their 10-1 win over WMOV B left them with an unassailable twenty-three point lead in the Plymouth Open League.



Marc Webber produced a 120 checkout in his 2-0 singles victory in a dominant display which saw the Pennycross team only drop three legs all night.


Ker St C look well placed to secure the runners-up honours after their 8-3 win over Pennycross in which Ralph Lancaster scored the only maximum of the contest.



St Levans remain in the hunt as they secured an 8-3 win over bottom side Cherry Tree B left the defeated team with a lot to do to avoid the drop.


Despite the defeat, it was Sid Smith who chalked up the highest finish of the match with a fine 92 kill in his 2-1 individual loss.



There was a maximum each from Sid Hurrell and Dave Jones for the Mainstone who went down 8-3 away at The Lugger.


Melvin Wilbraham's 72 checkout was the highest finish of this contest whilst Weston Mill Oak Villa A went down 6-5 to Ker St C in final match in the Division.



In Division B, the path to glory is less clear for the leading teams due to a backlog of fixtures thanks to various postponements.


Third placed King Billy remain favourites thanks to three games in hand over leaders Falstaff after the pair winning 8-3 and 7-4 respectively.



The Devonport team's victory was over Fortescue who had Russell Hitchcock finishing from 100, which wasn't enough to stop the undefeated Billy Boyz.


Falstaff's success was over Weston Mill, which keeps them just three and six clear of Railway and King Billy who have games in hand.



Sean Taylor notched an 88 checkout in Ford Inn's 8-3 win over bottom side Ker St D who now need a major uplift in form to not finish the campaign at the division's bottom team.


Prince Maurice won a topsy-turvy battle at Octagon 6-5 which came down to the second to last game before Dave Petheridge secured the winning point in the tenth tie of the night.
