Darts A Dodd-le For Jayden

Jayden Dodd produced an assured performance for the Tradesman's A as they trounced fourth placed Queens Arms 12-1 to claim a fourteen point lead at the top of the table.

Dodd (27.81) notched thirteen ton plusses; some of which aided him towards a 36 dart 1001 leg in the individual phase of play.

Dodd was ably backed up by Mike O'Brien who scored eleven tons on the night with the leg the Tamerton Foliot side won coming from a 94 checkout by Andy Tremaine.

Steve Harris also chalked up the only maximum of the contest but had his hopes of claiming the individual title dented by Stew Roberts; who himself enjoyed a much welcomed return to form.

Veteran Richard Lynch (27.05) showed that class is very much permanent with a brace of maximums on his way to a 37 dart 1001 singles leg as his Kings Tamerton side won 9-4 against St Johnston B.

The Keyham side's Dan Cole did reply with one of his own but it wasn't enough to stop the imperious Lynch claiming the win.

King Billy owed a debt of gratitude to the form of Andrew Nation and Matt Abbott as they sneaked home 7-6 in a last leg decider against Steampacket.

Nation hit a league high for the week 111 finish and a maximum on his way to ten ton plusses whilst teammate Abbott claimed twelve of his own and also won the final tie of the match to give the Devonport side the spoils.

There was a maximum a piece as Mainstone defeated Pennycross 10-3 with joint individual leader Vern Lavers adding his effort and Pennycross's Steve Lamerton replying in kind.
