Fawn B Continue Domination

Top versus bottom in the Steve Chapman 501 League standings was all one way traffic as Fawn B whitewashed Firkin Doghouse by an 11-0 score line.

Lee Hellings was the heaviest scorer for the league leaders as he claimed fifteen three figure scores during the match.

Jaden Whitting was also prominent for the champions elect as his ten ton plus haul was accented by one of four maximums for the team.

Lee Agar contributed heavily to that total with a brace whilst John Mann netted one of his own in a 3-0 singles win.

Accompanying that maximum was a 108 checkout that claimed the highest of the match, whilst Mann also won a leg in 15 darts.

That was one of a smattering of decent legs as Whitting also added a 15 darter in his 3-0 win and Agar produced a leg in 16 in a win by the same score.

Andy Bates was also in good nick as he claimed one of the three straight legs he won in his individuals in just 17 darts.

The team destined to finished second to the leaders, Victory C, were pegged back to only win 7-4 against a talented St Levans team.

This was mostly due to the efforts of Tex Pearce who set about the higher placed side with twelve tons plusses overall.

Mike Pearce also prominent with eleven tons, including his team's only maximum, whilst son Matt Pearce checked a 110 finish in an 18 dart leg.

That leg was bettered twice as Tex Pearce threw a 16 darter in a 3-1 win and Mike Pearce took out a leg in 13 to go alongside one in 18 of his own in another 3-1 success.

Despite the outstanding performances from the Pearce family, the Honicknowle side were worthy of their win with Phil Hoyle eleven tons not bettered by any of his teammates.

Mark Shears was also in good form with a ten ton haul that featured one of the four maximums hit by his team during the match.

Danny Allen added a solitary effort to that whilst Matt Chegwin added two more himself and Paul Gavican coolly finished 104 in a single visit.

Dave Pethick was the most prominent of the twelve on display at the Octagon with twelve ton plusses in a 10-1 win for the Stonehouse team over Victory Hammers.

Pethick pipped his teammate Jayden Dodd by a solitary ton as Dodd bagged himself an eleven ton haul for his evening's work.

One of those was a 112 checkout that bettered a 110 from colleague Nick Dodd in the match, whilst Jayden Dodd checked a crucial leg in 18 darts in a 3-2 win over Tony Conn who provided the game's only 180.

Pethick did the same in his five leg 3-2 win whilst Alfie Ford added a 17 darter in his win by a 3-1 score line that rounded off a superb night for his team.

Mark Hatherley was the top scorer from both teams but found himself on the wrong end of an 8-3 score line as King Billy plundered Indian Inn.

Hatherley was also the only 180 hitter for his team as Andrew Cook and Antony Hayman added their names to that particular column for the victorious Devonport side.

That effort rounded off Hayman's ten ton haul, which ended in a 3-0 success in his individuals that featured a 15 darter.

Reece Day (26.37) was also in superb form in his 3-0 success with one leg coming in just 16 darts; a feat that Indian's Ian Heggie matched during his 3-1 triumph.

Victory A added all eleven points to their league total in a 11-0 triumph over Duchy of Cornwall that saw Scott Lawrey throw ten tons, including a 110 checkout that was the highest of the contest.

Kelvin Rowe and Paul Goundry added a maximum each to the proceedings with Rowe's coming in a 601 doubles win in just 17 darts when pairing with Paddy Archibald.

Kings Arms continue to impress in the league; this week's win a 7-4 success over Bar Mez with Dave Johns ten tons not beaten by anybody on display.

Lee Rodmell did however match that feat with a double figure haul of his own for the visitors whilst Simon Washington achieved the rare feat of hitting a 180 in each of his three matches played.

That trio was added to one more time by each team with Warren Gordon's effort replied to by Paul Tackle of the Cornwall based side.

Gordon teamed with Johns (30.82) in the doubles to win their two 601 legs in just 18 and 21 darts; one of which finished off with a 125 from the latter.

Gordon's 13 darter in his 3-0 success narrowly got the better of Johns' leg in 14 in the very next triumph by the same score line, whilst Paul Palmer also finished admirably in 16 in a 3-1 win.

Maria O'Brien's 115 checkout for Victory D bettered a 112 from teammate Chris Beale in a 6-5 success over Fawn A.

However, the Beale finish proved to be all the more crucial as it came in a 3-1 win with the scores locked at 5-5 in the last tie of the match.
