Glyn Puts A Well On Treble Twenty Bed

Glyn Wells thirteen ton plusses was by a distance the best of the Plymouth and District Friday Darts League week 22.

That total led Victory Inn to a 12-1 triumph over Ker St B in which Wells (31.28) threw the only maximum and won his 1001 individuals in just 32 darts.

That Wells win was only beaten by a Simon Washington (33.37) triumph in Octagon's 8-5 over Falstaff, which matched the lowest number of darts for the season of 30 darts.

Washington totalled ten tons on the night and also shared the highest checkout of 70 in the match with Alex Brown for the defeated visitors.

Brown showed a second moment of brilliance by adding the first of two maximums in the game as teammate Ben Moses also fired.

Del Bryce showed his undoubted class with three maximums for Legends Lounge but still found himself on the wrong end of a 10-3 defeat away at Grenville.

The shock result of the season so far, which has shed a glimmer of light on a potential title race, saw Kings Tamerton come away with an 11-2 win away at leaders Tradesmans A.

Andrew Nation joined Paul Sanders in hitting a maximum each in the match whilst Keith Blight's (27.81) 36 dart singles was the last of the undecuple of points claimed by the second placed side.

Bayleigh Webb and Ethan Maher's moments of magic led King Billy to an 11-2 triumph in their visit to Cherry Tree.

Webb's 180 was joined by a highest checkout of week for Maher of 92 that bettered a 72 from Ryan Parker in one of the two success his team gained.

Sid Hurrell's maximum was the only noteworthy contribution from both sides in a 7-6 win for Mainstone away at Indian Inn whilst Pennycross sank Ker St A by an 11-2 score line.
