Mark Hatherley top-scored in the Steve Chapman 501 League with a game-week high of sixteen tons, but still found himself on the wrong end of a 10-1 loss as Indian Inn were downed by Victory A.

ree

Hatherley was supported by Ian Heggie, who nailed ten tons, whilst at the heart of everything that was good from the home side was Kelvin Rowe's thirteen three-figure visits.

Rowe's haul was topped up by one of the four maximums as teammate Paul Goundry added a 180 to his ten ton plusses.

ree

Darren Collis was the other maxi hitter for the victors, whilst Brian Gourlay netted a solitary three treble visit for the defeated party.

Goundry came through a hard-fought 3-2 win against Hatherley with legs in 15 and 18 darts sitting nicely alongside a 128 checkout in that triumph.

ree

The fifteen ton haul that lit up Cameron O'Brien's evening included one of the ten maximums put on between O'Brien's Cherry Tree D and King Billy in an 8-3 win for the latter.

The most prolific maxi hitter was O'Brien's teammate Martin Pearson, who nailed three on his way to ten scores of a ton or more.

ree

In a rare occurrence, every one of the victor's cohort added a 180 as Paddy Archibald, Andrew Cook, Scott Cook, Lewis Byrne, Frankie Stout, and Ant Pearn all struck.

Archibald also managed a 120 checkout, whilst both Pearn and Andrew Cook reached eleven ton plusses, with Scott Cook and Stout walking away with ten tons each.

ree

Archibald's combination meant a 112 from Lee Wickett and a 100 kill from O'Brien settled for second and third best in the finishing stakes.

O'Brien and Kev Lofthouse (32.49) teamed in the doubles to put away 1202 points in just 37 darts, with 18 and 19 darters completing a 2-0 win.

ree

Pearn and Andrew Cook knitted together well with a 601 leg in 17 darts during a 2-1 triumph, before the singles also produced fireworks.

Despite a 12 darter from O'Brien, Stout got the better of him 3-2 with no leg in the contest going beyond seven visits.

ree

Scott Cook added a 13 darter in a 3-1 victory against Lofthouse, who himself put away his only chalk mark, whilst rounding off the night's action was Andrew Cook's 3-1 win that contained legs in 18 and 17.

Jack McMinn top scored with fourteen scores of a ton or more to lead Fawn B to an 8-3 triumph against Cherry Tree B, whilst John Mann played his supporting role well with thirteen three figure visits.

ree

Fred Goldsmith fired eleven tons, with fourteen and eleven more coming from Jason Pinkerton and Mike Whatley, respectively, for the defeated team.

The game hotted up in the doubles phase as Mann paired with Lee Agar for a 2-0 win that contained a 17 darter over the 601 distance.

ree

Pinkerton fired what ended up being a crucial 136 in a 2-1 doubles win, and the fireworks continued well into the individual phase.

Agar (27.83) added a 180 and 139 kill and legs in 15 and 17 in his 3-0 win before Goldsmith was edged out 3-2 by Whatley despite a leg in 18 darts.

ree

Mann (31.97) rounded off the evening with a 3-0 win that contained a 180 and legs in 15 and 12 darts; the latter of which put away with scores of 100, 125, 140, and a 136 outshot.

Nick Bryant found 112 checkout that topped his ton total up to fourteen, which helped Cherry Tree C to a 10-1 win against Firkin Scholar.

ree

Bryant was supported well by Andy Bates, who added two of the five 180s to his total of twelve three figure visits.

Steve Mills added a third three treble visit to a brace from Scott Heggie, whilst Bryant featured heavily amongst the dispatches relating to the business end of legs.

ree

Bryant teamed with Dave Lee to put away 601 points in just 19 darts before going one dart better over the 501 distance with a 3-0 win that contained a leg in 18.

Twelve tons rained down from the arm of Dan Brazier, who added finishes of 130 and 105 to that total in a 6-5 win for Raffles against local rivals Fawn A.

ree

Sandwiched in the middle of Brazier's checkouts was a 119, which came from the arm of teammate Will Broome.

All of the 180s came in a 3-1 triumph for Mackenzie Sargeant against Simon Wilbraham as the victor hit one to the defeated party's two.

ree

Brazier was a 3-1 winner thanks in part to his aforementioned checkouts and legs in 18, which helped contribute to leaving the match result on a knife-edge.

Logan Carroll came through his tester in the final singles with his 3-2 win, going down to the final leg to give the hosts a decent win.

ree

Dave Johns' eleven ton plus haul provided most of the fireworks for Kings Arms in an 8-3 win at Beacon Park, who had Ryan Stone adding ten tons.

The 180s in the contest were shared evenly between the two teams as Johns' teammate Paul Palmer added to a maximum from Stone's stablemate Beau Carter.

ree

Palmer also checked a leg with a 116 finish that was bettered twice as Johns' 132 settled for the bridesmaid position to a 149 combo from Mark Yeoman.

Johns also added a 17 darter to his aforementioned kill that came during a 3-0 win, whilst Yeoman checked in 17 and 18 darts in a 3-1 success.

ree

Visits of a ton or more were called no fewer than eleven times when Jayden Dodd was throwing for Octagon in a 9-2 success versus The Exchange.

A 9-2 win for St Levans over Duchy saw Mike Pearce dominate the scoring phase with a ten ton tally that included one of his team's maximums as Tex Pearce fired the other.

ree

Despite ending on the wrong side of the heavy loss, Jack Heath still managed ten tons himself, whilst Tex Pearce's 18 darter proved crucial in a 3-2 individual success.

Chris Beale added a 15 darter to Reg Cornish's 96 out that came in a 7-4 win for Legends Lounge against Victory Hammers.

ree

Checkouts of 112 and 98 from Rob May and Archie Borlase, as well as a 180 from Nick Bromley, were the main highlights of Tradesmans' 6-5 win over the water in Torpoint at Bar Mez.
