Hellings Smelling Blood

Lee Hellings fired fourteen scores of a ton or more to lead Raffles to an opening day Monday Premier League 8-3 win over Colebrook.

Hellings was supported well by Alfie Ford, who finished his night on ten ton plusses, whilst Zak Smith bagged a thirteen ton haul for the visitors.

Hellings would've been anchored on thirteen tons if not for his 100 checkout, and the three 180s went to teammates Ford, Danny Bull and Paul Hendy.

Jacob Bentham and Rob May paired for a 17 dart leg over the 601 distance, which helped them to a 2-0 success, whilst Bentham continued his form in the singles phase.

A 114 checkout adorned Bentham's 3-1 individual triumph, and the match was rounded off by Washington's 3-0 win that contained a leg in 16 darts.

The Lounge started with maximum points as an 11-0 win over Brunel View Legends was dominated by 180s from Scott Cook, Paddy Archibald and Paul Goundry.

Archibald also showed his class at the business end of one leg as he put together a tidy 87 single visit combination outshot.
