If You Give Richie A Lynch, He'll Take A Mile
A topsy-turvy battle between Kings Tamerton and Victory Inn saw the latter come out on top by the narrowest margins with a 7-6 win in the Plymouth and District Friday Darts League.
Despite being on the wrong end of that score, Richard Lynch's 106 took the highest checkout of the week prize having usurped Kieran Burns' 80 and Andrew Downton's 103 for the Honicknowle team in the same contest.
Burns' (25.67) leg in 39 stole the show with six of his ten ton haul coming in that game whilst teammate Glyn Wells also produced the only maximum of the evening.
Dave Jones (26.34) 38 darter for leaders Mainstone in their 9-4 defeat to King Billy took the week's lowest number of darts prize for the whole league.
Matt Abbott was in decent form for the victorious Devonport team with an 87 checkout and a maximum for his evening's work.
Mark Hatherley was Indian's hero in a last leg deciding 7-6 victory over Pennycross who had Mike Parker hitting the only 180 of the match.
Grenville secured their first success in eight matches thanks to a 9-4 win over Lugger whilst Tradesmans B won for the third time in nine starts with a 9-4 success over bottom side Ker St A.
