Sixteen ton plusses rained down from the arm of Nick Bryant, which took Cherry Tree D to a 6-5 Plymouth City Super League Division A win at Tradesmans.

Ticking Bryant's total over to that tally was one of the eight maximums that came in the contest, with four more shared between his teammates.

Quinton Taylor put up a trio of 180s and Phil Hoyle claimed one more, whilst Simon Washington's two was added to once by Kevin Seal for the defeated side.

ree

The 180 scoring started in the first game of the matchup as Taylor, Hoyle, and Keith Carter (31.28) put together a 32 darter over the 1001 distance.

In the individual stage, Bryant was a 3-2 winner over Lewis Byrne despite a 17 darter and a 120 checkout in his two legs won.

ree

Byrne ended that tie on eleven tons overall before Chris Edgecombe matched Byrne's checkout in a 3-0 that meant Hoyle's 76 kill could only settle for third best.

Washington stepped up next to secure a 3-1 win, with winning legs coming in 18, 18, and 17 darts before Taylor secured a 3-0 victory with the help of a leg in 18 of his own.

ree

Glenn Halford nailed fifteen scores of a ton or more but still remarkably found himself on the wrong end of an 11-0 loss as Ford Inn downed Bluebird A.

Halford's teammate Glenn Austin also added twelve tons to the scoreboard, whilst the top scoring player for the victors was Scott Wapshott with thirteen ton plusses.

ree

Scott Cook provided a decent supporting role with twelve three figure visits to the board as the 180s were shared between the two teams.

Paul Gavican fired for the victors with Dale Halford providing a solitary three treble visit for the defeated home side.

ree

A 101 checkout from Ant Pearn meant Wapshott's 100 kill settled for second best, whilst the best combination from the Compton based team came from Lee Roberts with an 80 kill.

A 6-5 win for Indian Inn A over Kings Arms B was dominated by the scoring of Kelvin Rowe, who added fifteen scores of a ton or more.

ree

Harry Bull fired twelve three figure visits to play his bridesmaid position effectively, whilst Rowe's maximum topped his ton tally up.

Danny Bull managed a brace of maximums, with the other three treble visit coming from Dave Johns for the defeated side.

ree

Johns also added a 94 checkout to his night's work in a match that saw four of the six individual games provide a smattering of fireworks.

Mike Tucker started the individual phase of play with a 3-0 win that saw a leg tumble after Tucker threw just 18 darts.

ree

Dave Matthews repeated that feat with an 18 darter of his own in another 3-0 success before Rowe edged his opponent 3-2, thanks in part to a third leg in 18.

Alan Rowe rounded off the matchup with a 3-1 defeat, but his only leg of the contest was put away in just 17 darts.

ree

Two 180s from Sean Taylor ticked his ton tally over to the fifteen mark as champions Octagon defeated Legends Lounge C by an 8-3 scoreline.

Teammate Mark Williams provided a third maxi for the victors, whilst Reg Cornish put up eleven ton plusses for the defeated party.

ree

Two moments of magic at the business end stood out as a 130 from Alfie Ford and a 15 darter by Neil White provided the fireworks.

An 8-3 win for King Billy A over Fawn A was littered up by the scoring prowess of Antony Hayman, who nailed fifteen ton plusses to the dartboard.

ree

Hayman was supported well by Kev Lofthouse, who put on twelve scores of a ton or more for his evening's work.

Both aforementioned players added to the 180 column of the sheet on one occasion each with teammate Alec Turner notching once.

ree

Dave Roberts fired one back for the away side in a doubles win before Lofthouse put up the best checkout of the contest with a 114.

Roberts and Hayman met in the first individuals and it was Hayman who added a leg in 16 to topple Roberts 3-1 despite a 17 darter in the solitary leg he won.

ree

Lofthouse rounded off the singles phase of play with a 3-2 win in which his leg in 15 darts proved to be crucial in deciding the outcome of the match.

Steampacket's 10-1 win at St Levans was built upon twelve tons from George Beckett and eleven more each from Phil Taylor and Nick Miller.

ree

Miller was a 3-1 winner in the singles phase, but it was the man he defeated that took the headlines with a 95 checkout to conclude a 17 darter.

Beckett also showed his prowess in the individual stage with a 3-0 success that contained legs in 17 and 13 darts.

ree

Dave Hollow top scored with twelve tons for Cherry Tree C, who roundly bettered the visitors from Legends Lounge B by a 9-2 scoreline.

Dan Maddocks put up the most resistance for the unsuccessful side with ten tons that included one of the four maximums.

ree

Shaun Dring nailed another for the visitors, whilst Frankie Stout fired a brace of 180s for the victors in his 3-0 singles success.

That individual game saw Stout take legs in 16 and 18 darts, whilst teammate Dan Jewell netted himself a 90 checkout for the best finish of the contest.

ree

Tony Reid contributed the final point of a 6-5 win for Raffles B versus Legends Lounge A in a 3-1 deciding singles victory.

The 180s in the contest were shared as Del Bryce and Lee Dennis both fired an effort each, whilst Scott Hutchinson's 85 finish was only bettered in the match by Paul Hoare's 133.
