Kev Is The Seal Deal

Eighteen ton plusses rained down from the arm of Kev Seal, but that wasn't enough to stop his Tradesmans side from succumbing to a Plymouth City Super League Division A 6-5 defeat at Legends Lounge B.

Teammate Lewis Byrne was also in good form with ten three figure visits, whilst the win for the home side was built upon some excellent scoring by Mark Gilbery, Simon Stevenson, and Andy Malinowski.


Gilbery top scored with sixteen scores of a ton or more, with Stevenson's fourteen ton plusses topped up by no fewer than three maximums.

Malinowski chipped in with eleven ton plusses with the other 180 in the matchup coming from the arm of Seal's teammate Simon Washington.


From the second game of the night, the finishing was of the highest order as Seal's 130 kill won the second trebles.

Gilbery shot back with a 146 combination outshot before the game continued to produce fireworks long into the individual phase.


Stevenson (30.67) was at the heart of that with 14 and 16 darters coming in his 3-0 demolition job before Seal got the better of Gilbery 3-2 with the pair sharing twenty-two ton plusses between them.

Byrne added a 15 dart leg to his 3-1 victory before Washington rounded off the night with a 3-0 success that included a leg in 18.


Tex Pearce provided the magic of fifteen ton plusses for St Levans but still found himself on the wrong end of a 9-2 loss as the hosts, Legends Lounge A, were victorious.

Ryan Fuller provided twelve tons in that win, whilst Ryan Harris and Del Bryce were the 180 hitters for the victors.


Bryce's 3-1 win was accentuated by a 16 darter whilst checkouts of 100, 92, and 80 came from Pearce, Ewan Johnson, and Ryan Harris respectively.

Thirteen scores of a ton or more from Dave Hollow and ten more by teammate Frankie Stout gave Cherry Tree C the platform from which to build an 8-3 win at Fawn A.


The home side's scoring hero of the night was Dave Roberts, who nestled twelve ton plusses into the dartboard, whilst the only maximum came from the arm of Hollow's stablemate Nathan Langdon.

The four excellent finishes in the match were headlined by a 118 from Mike Nancholas, which meant Mark Hempsall's 96 would have to settle for second place.


Langdon showed his prowess at the business end with a 93 combo, whilst a modest yet respectable 72 from Stout completed the quartet.

Marc Webber was a twelve ton hitter for Steampacket to lead them to a 9-2 win over Kings Tamerton, which sawa 180 for each team.


Krissy Gargett and Phil Taylor were the two providers of those efforts, whilst Taylor's 3-1 individual success yielded a leg put away with a three dart combination of 105.

Danny Hoyle was defeated 3-1 despite nailing a 16 darter, and that effort was only bettered by Webber, who added a 101 checkout to his crucial 15 darter that came in a 3-2 triumph.


Dan Brazier's twelve ton tally helped Ford Inn secure all points on offer in an 11-0 win over Raffles B in a game that saw six maximums.

Mark Shears led the way with two 180s during a 3-1 singles win that also contained a leg put away in just 13 darts.


Mike Whatley and Scott Wapshott joined their teammate in the maxi column of the sheet, which also included the names Heather Toney and Lee Dennis for the defeated side.

A 9-2 win for Cherry Tree D versus saw a quintet of of 180s for the victors as Dave Lee's brace was added to by teammates Nick Bryant, Stan Preen and Quinton Taylor.


Bryant also showed there is more to his game than just the scoring phase with an accomplished 99 finish that meant Keith Carter's 70 combo had to settle for second best.

180s by Lee Roberts and Dale Halford lit up a 6-5 win for Bluebird A at Kings B, which saw Glenn Austin and Martyn Down fire 84 and 71 checkouts.
