Borthwick's teammate Adam Truscott fired the only maximum of the contest, whilst three mid-range finishes were headlined by an 80 from Borthwick.

Logan Carroll added a 76 single-visit kill to a 71 from Callum Horn that was the only noteworthy moment for the defeated visitors.

Eleven ton plusses from Steve Ebsworth helped Victory B over the line to a 6-5 triumph versus Clifton, with Scott Heggie providing the final blow in a 3-0 win during the last game.

Jason Goldsmith's 96 finish provided some solace for the defeated team as that effort bettered 82 and 74 kills by Ebsworth's teammates Heggie and Rhys Castle.

90 and 80 finishes were fired by Ollie Thompson and Heggie as Heggie's ten tons led Ker St A to an an 8-3 win over Thompson's Staddiscombe.

A 100 combination out from Archie Borlase was the only moment of magic during King Billy B's 8-3 loss against Fawn B.

Nick Bromley's 18 darter lit up Duchy A's 10-1 win in the Duchy derby game versus their B team, which saw three other highlights.

Jordan Heath was a 180 hitter, and checkouts from Rob Wills and Ian Langdon were recorded as 76 and 73, respectively.

A 94 checkout by Nigel Bassett and a 180 from the arm of Jamie Roberts gave Bluebird B the platform from which to build a 10-1 win against Indian Inn B, whilst Hyde Park were 7-4 winners at Herbert A.
