Lynch Strikes It Rich In 100 Average Win

A new lowest number of darts total for the season was set by veteran marksman Richard Lynch during an 11-2 win for Kings Tamerton over King Billy.

Lynch (33.37) bagged a phenomenal 30 dart 1001 leg during the match that also saw teammate John Brownlow check 103 in a single visit.

Kieran Burns was the only member of the defeated Devonport team to put up any sort of resistance with a twelve ton haul that was accented by a brace of maximums.

A 10-3 win for runaway leaders Tradesmans A over Falstaff saw ten tons from Ben Waters and no less than four 1001 legs finished in 40 darts or less.

The first of those saw Andrew Nation pair with Andy Waters (25.67) for a 39 darter that was finished with a 104 checkout by the former before Nation (25.03) went one dart less in his 40 dart individuals.

Ben Waters (27.05) took the least number of darts for the match with a 37 dart 1001 leg in the very next tie before Jayden Dodd (26.34) checked his singles in 38 darts in the final leg on the match.

Whilst Falstaff were blown away by some excellent play from the reigning champions, Alex Brown did have time to bag the only maximum of the match.

Paul Barclay's 130 checkout was the highest of the week and second largest of the season so far; winning one point of an 8-5 win for Octagon over Indian Inn in the process.

The 180s in the match were shared as Barclay's teammate Steve Jones was joined by David Young from the Stoke side in achieving that particular feat.

Glyn Wells' 180 was the only noteworthy contribution of a 7-6 success for Victory over Legends Lounge that was eventually won by Matt Abbott in the final rubber of the evening with the scores tied at 6-6.

Brian Bishop netted a 113 checkout but still found himself on the wrong side of a 10-3 turnaround as Ker St A were bested by Grenville whilst Ker St B defeated Mainstone 7-6 for a third success of the season.

An 86 checkout from Al Martin was the best effort of an 8-5 away win for Tradesmans B in their visit to Cherry Tree who climb off the bottom with the points they procured from this tie.
