John Mann's 104 checkout in Octagon's 9-2 win over Saltram in the Plymouth City Super League was one of seventeen three figure scores scored by the three times Champion of Champions.

Mann ran into an inspired Warren Gordon in the individual phase with Gordon himself finishing on ten tons overall.

The match itself went to all five legs with none of the quintet going beyond 20 darts as Mann's brace of 15 darters and a leg in 17 got the better of Gordon who put up two 20 darters himself.

Mann was supported throughout by Lee Hellings who reached eleven tons for the evening and managed an 18 darter of his own during a 3-1 success.

Hellings opponent in that tie, Frankie Stout, showed his budding brilliance as the youngster produced a leg in 18 of his own.

Neil White got the better of Simon Kelly with his leg in 17 proving crucial after Kelly had added a 15 darter during the narrow 3-2 defeat.

One of two Saltram winners, Dave Algar, added an 18 dart leg during his 3-0 success in a match that saw seven of the eleven rubbers decided by a solitary leg.

The Victory Inn derby between A and C was dominated by the performances of Matt Chegwin and Scott as the A team beat their stablemates by a 10-1 score line.

Chegwin's thirteen ton plus haul was accented by a 100 checkout and two 180s whilst Cook scored twelve tons; three of which were maximums.

The A team weren't done there in the maximum stakes as all of Mark Shears, Danny Allen and Tom James added an effort each to bring the team total to a whopping eight.

Cook also lit up the singles phase with winning legs of 17, 17 and 12 darts in a 3-2 win where Cook withstood a leg in 16 from his opponent Chris Beale.

The only point taken by the C team was worked for as James Smith had to fire in a 126 checkout during his 3-1 singles success.

Lewis Dare and teammate Paul Hoare's twelve ton haul each wasn't bettered in Victory B's 8-3 entertaining home success against Steampacket.

Both Dare and Hoare added 180s to their large totals whilst Dare's 141 finish was the cherry on top of a fine evening for the youngster.

The aforementioned maximums came in the same game as Dare and Hoare (28.60) battled to a 35 dart 1001 doubles leg.

Dare returned in the individual phase to win his game 3-0 with the help of legs in 18 and 15 darts, which bettered anything offered by all eleven other competitors in the match.

Mike Connell's much welcomed renaissance continued as he won a leg in 17 during a 3-2 singles success for his Devonport side whilst teammate George Beckett was at his scintillating best.

Beckett chalked up his team's only 180 on his way to eleven tons whilst his individuals yielded a 28.36 single dart average thanks in part to a brace of 17 darters.

Colebrook's 9-2 home win over Hyde Park was dominated by a twelve ton haul from Nathan Langdon whilst teammate Dave Hollow also added ten three figure scores to the affair.

The only noteworthy contribution from the Peverell based team was a 90 checkout from Russ Paxton-Denny in his 3-1 defeat to Hollow in the individual phase.

Dave Johns eleven tons led his Kings Arms B team to an 8-3 success in their visit to Fawn A, who had Bill Scannell throwing the only maximum of the match.

Johns' teammate, Roger Backway, also nailed a 118 three dart combination out shot in the match to give him the high checkout spoils.

Victoria claimed all but one point on offer in their visit to Half Moon as they won 10-1 on the road with Chris Springett in fine form after a twelve ton haul.

Raffles got the better of local rivals, Clifton, by an 8-3 score line with both Harry Bull and Alec Turner on form for the victorious visitors.

Bull and Turner both added ten tons to the scoreboard, with the latter also chalking up the only maximum of the game.

Turner's 17 dart leg in his 3-2 singles success wasn't bettered in the contest whilst a 94 checkout from James Ewing helped his team to one of the eight matches they won in the tie.

Kings Arms A claimed an 11-0 success against Duchy of Cornwall with Colin Sloman's 111 checkout giving the home side their main moment of magic in the matchup.

Five 180s littered a Devonport derby between Ker St and King Billy, which was dominated in the finishing phase by visitors who took all points on offer in an 11-0 win for the 'Billy Boyz'.

Despite ending on the wrong side of a heavy defeat, Ker St outscored their opponents in the 180 stakes with a brace from Roger Bailey and a sole effort from teammate Paul Tackle.

Lee Doncaster and Antony Hayman joined that particular party with one maximum each whilst teammate Paul Goundry checked the highest finish of 97.

Paddy Archibald's leg in 14 in a 3-1 success was the best of the individuals whilst a 35 dart leg from Doncaster and partner Mark Yeoman (28.60) was the best of the 1001 team games.

A 111 checkout from Mark Sargeant and an 18 darter from Nick Miller were the main highlights of a 7-4 win for Cherry Tree over Fawn B.

Jamie Roberts was instrumental in Bluebird B's recovery from 4-2 down in their visit to St Levans as his 180 and 94 checkout contributed to a 6-5 win.
