Nation Army March On

Andrew and John Nation were top performers in the King Billy's 10-3 win over Indian Inn in the Plymouth & District Friday Darts League.

Andrew (28.60) chalked up his second least number of darts in as many weeks with a fine 35 dart 1001 singles whilst John managed the top finish of the week of 78.

Jordan Turner added to a great triumph by the Devonport team with the only maximum of a game that saw the 'Billy Boyz' go as many as 9-0 up before Indian put three of the last four points on the board.

John Nation's 78 narrowly defeated a Steve Daley 74 checkout in Octagon's 7-6 away win at the Grenville, which ended in a last leg shootout.

That checkout came in a spell during the team games that saw the Stonehouse team built a critical 4-3 lead as one of the points won by the St Judes' side came with the help of a Dave Meyrick maximum.

Dave Wyatt (25.03) then extended that lead further when winning his 1001 individual game in just 40 darts to put his team just two away from a third success of the campaign.

However, Grenville clawed back three of the next four games to take the match to a deciding leg which was dispatched by the ever impressive Simon Washington to give his team the win.

After being as many as 5-1 down, Queen & Constitution fought back to take a 7-6 win over Mainstone that saw Rich Wylie get his team over the line in the final matchup of the evening.

There was a maximum a piece in Brewery Tap's 10-3 win over Pennycross as Sean Taylor added one for the victors and Dave Gamble chalked himself a 180; both coming in the same singles game between the two.

A third 10-3 win of the week, this time for the Kings Tamerton in their visit to Ker St A, saw Andy Humphries his the only 180 of the game whilst Tradesmans B won 9-4 at Lugger.
