Mike O'Brien and John Mann top scored for leaders Tradesmans with sixteen tons each in a battle of the Monday Premier League top two, which was won by the Stonehouse side by a 7-4 defeat for Victory.

Fred Goldsmith was also in the vintage form that has landed him a Cornwall county recall as he put fourteen tons onto the scoreboard whilst Lee Agar added eleven three figure scores.

Agar's tally included a 111 checkout that was the best of the match whilst the biggest ton tally from any of the six from the defeated home side was fourteen from Luke Johnson.

Quinton Taylor was also in good nick with eleven tons whilst teammate Tony Tasker also added double figures in ton plusses with a ten ton haul.

Seven 180s rained down between the two sides as Mann's brace was added to by teammates O'Brien, Agar and Simon Washington once each.

Taylor and Johnson were the players from the Honicknowle outfit to hear 180 called after throwing, with Johnson's coming in a 2-1 doubles win when partnering Tasker.

The pair put together the best leg of 601 during that particular matchup as they teamed to check in just 21 darts.

The individuals started with Agar's 3-0 win that contained a leg in 15 before Washington won by the same score line with the help of a 17 darter.

Jaden Whitting repeated that Washington feat with a second leg in 17 for his team during a 3-0 win that gave the reigning champions the victory at 6-2 up.

Mann vs Taylor was the first of three remarkable contests to end a brilliant battle as Mann's 17 and 18 dart legs did for Taylor 3-2, who also checked one of the duo he claimed in 18 darts.

Johnson and O'Brien then faced off with the former's 17 darter helping him get one over on the latter 3-2 in spite of legs in 16 and 13 darts for O'Brien.

Both players added 18 dart legs in the final rubber of an outstanding tie between two great sides as Tasker made the score line deservedly respectable with a third 3-2 success; Tasker's victim being Goldsmith.

Dale Halford's thirteen ton plusses might've contained the best checkout of the game week thanks to a 132 checkout.

However, Halford's Bluebird A were downed by Octagon A by a 9-2 score line; a win dominated by the form of Lee Hellings.

Hellings added a 100 checkout and two maximums to his eleven ton personal tally; the 180s being two of five put onto the board by his Stonehouse side.

Chrissie Kinnaird, Paul Palmer and Sean Burkitt all added to Hellings tally with solitary efforts each whilst Hellings was at his majestic best in the individual phase.

Hellings (31.31) won by a 3-0 score line after an 18 darter was joined by a brace of 15 darters to cap a great performance both individually, and for his team.

Eleven tons were thrown down by a player from each side as Cherry Tree A were bested by Bluebird B by a 7-4 score line.

John Goodall was the eleven ton hitter for the defeated side whilst Glenn Halford added eleven tons of his own overall.

Goodall got the better of Halford with one of the game's two maximums helping him to a 3-2 win over his rival; that win coming in spite of a leg in 18 darts by the defeated man.

That Halford leg was only bettered by a 16 darter from Goodall's teammate Paul Freeman on his way to a 3-0 win whilst Halford's stablemate Tony Teal was the only player from his side to put a 180 onto the scoreboard.

Antony Hayman added ten tons overall to give King Billy A the platform to push to a 7-4 win over Indian, in which there was two ton plus checkouts.

Lee Wyatt's 109 for the defeated team had to settle for second best as Lisa Hellings finished 110 at the first time of asking.

Hayman added one of the three maximums plundered by the two sides with teammate Andrew Cook adding to Harry Bull's solitary effort for the visitors.

Ten tons from Scott Cook included the highest checkout of the match of 123 during an 8-3 win for visitors King Billy B over Octagon B.

The three treble visits in the contest were shared as Chris Edgcumbe fired in riposte to Cook's teammate Paul Goundry.

Zak Smith added ten tons for Colebrook but still found himself on the wrong side of an 8-3 defeat as his Plympton outfit were downed by Cherry Tree B.

That win owed much to the heroics of George Beckett who put two maximums onto the scoreboard and checked a leg of 501 in 18 darts during his 3-0 individual success.

Smith's teammates Nick Furneaux and Dan Giles both added moments of magic with a maximum and a 115 checkout respectively.
