Simon Shows He's A Washington Wizard

Simon Washington's (27.05) 37 dart 1001 leg for Octagon in their 8-5 win against Brewery Tap wasn't bettered across all fixtures in the Plymouth and District Friday Darts League.

Washington started the leg with the game's only maximum whilst the entertaining contest also saw both Sam Evans and Robbie Aitken checkout 80 in a single visit for the week's highest finish.

The battle of the league's royalty ended with the Queens Arms beating the Queen and Constitution 9-4 whilst Grenville produced the joint heaviest win of the week with an 11-2 success over bottom side Lugger.

Kev Bridgeman's 180 was the only notable contribution of Indian's 9-4 win at Pennycross whilst King Billy won by the same score line in their trip to Mainstone.

Tradesmans A continued their canter to the league title with a routine 9-4 win over Ker St B that saw Mike O'Brien top score with twelve three figure scores.

O'Brien (25.03) also chalked up the best game of the match with a fine 40 dart 1001 leg whilst teammate Mike Hill checked 77 in a single visit for the highest effort of the match.

Despite ending the wrong side of the heavy defeat, Robbie Bisgrove shone for the Devonport team with eleven ton plusses.

Second placed Victory Inn bagged themselves an 11-2 success over Kings Tamerton whilst Brian Bishop's 72 checkout lit up Ker St A's 11-2 defeat to Tradesmans B.
