A super seventeen ton plusses by Sean Taylor dominated Octagon's 7-4 Plymouth City Super League Division A victory at Cherry Tree C.

The trio of Neil White, Mark Williams, and Luke Johnson all chipped in with ten tons each to play their supporting role well.

Williams and Andy Bates were 180 hitters in the match, whilst the best ton total for the hosts came from the arm of Dave Hollow with ten of his own.

At the business end of legs, Frankie Stout's 88 combination outshot was only bettered by a 118 for Taylor, which was the cherry on top of his brilliant evening.

Dan Brazier notched thirteen scores of a ton or more for Ford Inn as they returned from Fawn A with a 9-2 victory.

Eleven three figure visits each were put onto the dartboard by Brazier's teammates Ant Pearn and Paul Gavican.

Pearn added to the maximum column with a solitary effort that joined two more by Mark Shears, whilst the hosts had Dave Roberts and Mike Trim both adding maximums.

Shears' legs in 14 and 15 darts gave him the best two 501 legs in the contest during a 3-1 win, whilst Gavican added a 114 kill to Mark Hempsall's 91 combination as the two standout finishes.

Bluebird A's charge to a 6-5 win over Steampacket was led by Glenn Austin and Glenn Halford, who both added ten tons each to the scoreboard.

ree

Austin was one of the four 180 hitters as teammates Tony Teal and Dale Halford both struck to join Nick Miller in achieving that particular feat.

Miller also notched what turned out to be crucial legs in 15 and 16 darts that helped him to a 3-2 win, whilst the match result was decided by a 3-1 last singles win for Dale Halford.

Tradesmans were 8-3 better than Legends Lounge C, with four 180s scattered throughout the event as Simon Washington and Neal Walters added to Lewis Byrne's brace.

The individual phase is where this contest hotted up, starting with Phil Hoskin's 90 kill that proved crucial in beating his opponent 3-2.

ree

Washington added a 116 checkout to leg in 17 darts in the very next 3-0 win before Reg Cornish snuck past his opponent 3-2, thanks in part to a 17 darter of his own.

Byrne rounded off the evening with his second 180 and an 18 dart leg that came during the only leg he won in a 3-1 turnaround.

ree

An 8-3 win for Cherry Tree D at King Billy A saw two 180s for Keith Carter, joined three treble visits by teammate Nick Bryant and Lee Doncaster.

The start of the doubles phase saw the matchup come to life as Carter teamed with Stan Preen (33.38) to put away 601 legs in 15 and 21 darts.

ree

Paul Goundry ended up on the wrong end of a 2-1 loss when pairing with Paddy Archibald despite a 112 finish for the former, before Bryant showed his class in the singles.

Bryant notched a 93 checkout, which sat nicely alongside legs in 13 and 18 darts that came during a 3-1 success.

ree

The 180s were shared between Raffles B and Kings Tamerton in a 7-4 win for the former as Lee Dennis and Wayne Davis added to Chris Hanwell's brace.

Kings Arms B were 8-3 winners over the visitors from Legends Lounge B, with the only noted contributions coming in the form of a 180 for Shaun Dring and a 108 checkout by Paul Hendy.

ree

A 95 checkout by Danny Bull and a Ryan Fuller maximum came in an 8-3 win for Bull's Indian Inn A against Fuller's Legends Lounge A, whilst Sean Burkitt also added an 80 kill to the affair.
