The Clever Little Taylor

Sean Taylor ploughed in eleven tons for Legends Lounge but still found himself on the wrong end of a 10-3 Louis Yates Plymouth & District Darts League defeat as the St Budeaux side were downed by King Billy.

Despite being on the wrong end of that tanking, Taylor (28.60) still had time to also claim the least number of darts prize money for this game week with a 35 dart 1001 leg in his individuals.

The highest checkout across all fixtures also came in this very fixture as Kieran Burns checked 96 in a single visit for the rampant Devonport side who are well placed in fourth in the standings.

Cam O'Brien (25.03) put away 1001 points in just 40 darts during an 8-5 success for Mainstone in their visit to Cherry Tree.

Reigning champions Tradesmans A fired two sub 40 dart 1001 legs in a 9-4 win over Octagon; the first coming from Jayden Dodd and Paul Nash (27.81) in a 36 dart doubles.

That pairing was the only leg to better a 39 darter from Mike O'Brien (25.67) who has put the only maximum of the match onto the scoreboard earlier in the contest.

Maximums from Shane Roberts and Jordan Grimshaw lit the flame underneath Victory Inn to fire them to the top of the table after a 13-0 whitewash win over Grenville.

John Brownlow's maximum was the only moment of magic in Kings Tamerton's 10-3 success over Pennycross; a result that moved them into second place.

A 180 from Falstaff's Dave Jarvis aided the Southway outfit to an 11-2 triumph over Tradesmans B, for whom David Young fired a 68 checkout that was the best of all twelve put away in the contest.

Ker St got their first success of the four game old campaign with a narrow 7-6 triumph over newcomers Weston Mill Oak Villa.
