The Doncaster Rover Is Fourteen Ton Hero

Lee Doncaster put a marvellous fourteen three figure scores onto the board in leaders Victory's 8-3 Plymouth Open League Division A win over Ker St C.



Doncaster's total was topped up by a 119 checkout, which was the only effort to trump a 73 kill from Melvyn German for the defeated side.


Andy Tremaine was in blistering form with a ten ton haul that led Falstaff A to an 8-3 win over Cherry Tree B to climb a place to joint fourth in the standings.



The defeated side from Pennycross had Nick Miller adding a 94 checkout and a 15 dart leg to teammate Kieran Harris' 180.


A checkout of 93 from Jason Goldsmith was the only effort to better an 83 from teammate Alex Truscott during an 8-3 win for Lugger A over St Johnston B.



Former Devon man Stan Preen (30.36) showed there's still life in the old dog yet with legs in just 16 and 17 darts during a 2-0 individual win that rounded off a 10-1 triumph for Beacon Park over Ker St A.


Nick Bromley's single visit 86 combination out shot gave the defeated Devonport side one of just three winning legs they could muster during the heavy loss.



John Nixon added a leg in 15 darts to his 120 checkout during a 7-4 success for St Johnston A in their visit to Prince Maurice whilst Weston Mill Oak Villa had Chris Lancaster Snr checking 71 in a 7-4 win over Mainstone B.


In Division B, Ryan Carter and Dave Barton both put 180s onto the scoreboard in an 8-3 win for Fawn over St Levans whilst Mike Tregenza's 80 was the best of eighteen checkouts in Mainstone A's 7-4 triumph over Duchy.



A 180 for each team lit up a close affair between Lugger B and Prince Maurice FC as Gareth Hockings three treble visit was matched by Adam Lee.


With the scores tied at 5-5, Hockings led his team to the win with a 2-0 triumph that keeps the Devonport side comfortably in second in the table.



Des Dugdale's maximum lit up a 9-2 win for Pennycross over Falstaff B whilst Andy Williams heard 180 called after throwing in a 7-4 defeat for Ker St D at home to King Billy B.


King Billy A were downed by local rivals Ker St B 6-5 in a game that saw Brodie Hockin fire a maximum whilst Cherry Tree A bettered Firkin Scholar 8-3.
