The Lawrey Provides Theatre In Victory Success

A 12 darter was one of a number of highlights from Scott Lawrey (31.31) in his emphatic 3-0 singles win in a 9-2 Monday Premier League win for Victory over Indian Inn.

Lawrey fired two 18 darters and one of the three legs was notched with the help of a 146 checkout that was the best finish of the match and game week.

That checkout and his team's only maximum ticked Lawrey's ton total over to the ten mark whilst teammate Tony Tasker also reached ten tons with the help of a big finish.

A 119 was Tasker's best but neither Tasker nor Lawrey could match the scoring prowess of stablemate Liam Taylor who finished his night as top scorer for the away side with twelve tons.

Tasker was a 3-0 winner in the individual phase with the help of a 17 darter whilst the only moment of magic in the game for the defeated team went to Danny Bull who put up his side's only maximum.

An 11-0 win for Tradesmans over Colebrook was the perfect stage for John Mann (31.31) to put away legs in 18, 15 and 15 darts in his 3-0 individual triumph.

Mann joined teammate Scott Wapshott in reaching ten tons with Wapshott's tally propped up by a 110 checkout that came in a 3-1 success.

The only '180' call that was made in the contest came after Simon Washington threw for the champions who are a staggering fifty-two points clear at the top.

Antony Hayman (26.37) bagged himself legs in 16 and 17 darts during a 7-4 win for King Billy A at Bluebird B that contained an Andrew Cook fourteen ton haul.

Cook joined Hayman in hitting a 180 during the game whilst Cook also nailed himself a 16 darter and a 100 checkout on his way to a 3-0 singles win.

Hayman's 105 combination out bettered Cook's finish whilst the pair succumbed in the least number of darts honours to a 14 darter by Lee Roberts in a 3-2 win.

Roberts teammate Dan Hurley was the top scoring player for the defeated side with ten scores of a ton or more.

Lee Hellings dominated an Octagon derby match between Hellings' A team and their B side that finished 11-0 to Hellings' outfit.

Hellings added fourteen scores of a ton with two maximums his best efforts whilst Paul Hendy netted ten scores of a ton or more to support Hellings well.

Paul Palmer's 120 checkout was the best finish of the contest whilst Palmer added two of the four 18 darters the match.

Palmer's brace came in a 3-1 win whilst Hellings was a 3-0 winner thanks in part to a leg in 18 and Alfie Ford repeated that feat during his win by the same score line.

Hendy however bettered that quartet with a leg in 17 that proved to be crucial in deciding the outcome of the point in a 3-2 individual triumph.

Paul Gavican bagged himself a 103 three dart combination out shot on his way to eleven tons in a 7-4 win for King Billy B over Cherry Tree B.

Four 180s in the match were shared between the two sides with Gavican's teammates Scott Cook and Ant Pearn providing the perfect riposte to efforts by Kev Doel and Dave Lee.

Paul Freeman bagged himself one of the three maximums in Cherry Tree A's 8-3 win over Bluebird A with Freeman's teammate Matt Nicholson making it two three treble visits for the victorious team.

The other came from the man who Freeman bettered in the individual phase as Dale Halford added a 180 of his own.

Halford's teammates Stuart Couling and Owen Cook also added to the occasion with a 17 dart leg and 109 checkout respectively.
