A mammoth twenty-one three figure visits from Sean Taylor lit up Octagon's 9-2 Plymouth City Super League Division A triumph at Kings Arms B.

ree

Taylor added two of the five 180s in the contest as teammate Neil White joined Paul Carpenter and Steve Mills for the opposition in achieving that feat.

White's maxi and a 114 combination outshot helped top his ton tally up to the thirteen mark, a feat that was matched by Alfie Ford, who added 138 and 108 kills to his tally.

ree

Lee Hellings went one ton better with fourteen three figure visits, whilst Mills nestled a 103 three dart combination out for the best effort by the home side.

White's 3-0 singles win came with the help of a leg in 16 darts, whilst Hellings survived that aforementioned Mills checkout in a 3-1 win that contained a leg in 17 for the victor.

ree

Simon Stevenson banged in twenty tons to steer Legends Lounge B to an 8-3 win against their local rivals Legends Lounge A.

Stevenson's tally was topped up by one of the three maximums his team nailed as Dan Maddocks and Shaun Dring both fired.

ree

Andy Malinowski also contributed heavily to the scoring phase with fifteen three figure visits, whilst Stevenson also put his name amongst the headlines relating to the finishing section of the contest.

Stevenson's 3-0 triumph in the final singles game of the match included legs in 16 and 14 darts, whilst teammate Matt Vosper and Del Byrce nestled checkouts of 77 and 70 for their respective team's best finishes.

ree

Nick Bryant was a fifteen ton hitter for Cherry Tree D but still found himself on the wrong end of a 7-4 defeat as Ford Inn were victorious.

Bryant's teammate Quinton Taylor reached ten tons, and that haul included the only 180 of the contest and a 120 checkout.

ree

Mike Whatley provided most of the firepower for the victors with eleven ton plusses, whilst teammate Mark Shears provided two moments of magic in his individual game.

The 3-2 win over Bryant contained what turned out to be a crucial 15 dart leg, as well as a 100 combination out that was the best provided amongst his cohort.

ree

Glenn Halford's fifteen scores of a ton or more for Bluebird A in their 8-3 win over St Levans included a 158 checkout.

Tex Pearce fired back for the defeated side with a ten ton haul that included the only maximum of the contest overall.

ree

Halford's aforementioned checkout came in a 3-1 win that also contained a 15 darter, whilst opponent Ewan Johnson also bagged himself a 15 dart leg in riposte.

Pearce bettered those legs in his 3-0 triumph with a 14 dart leg that came in one of two singles in which his team were triumphant.

ree

Frankie Stout was a twelve ton hitter for Cherry Tree C in their 8-3 win at Tradesmans that also saw teammate Steve Towl bag ten tons of his own.

Stout fired a 180 in amongst his ton total to match an effort from stablemate Dan Jewell, whilst Simon Washington produced a brace of maximums for the defeated side.

ree

The top scoring player amongst Washington's cohort was Chris Edgecombe with eleven tons, and Lewis Byrne chipped in with ten tons of his own.

Stout and Towl put together 601 legs in 25 and 22 darts during a 2-1 doubles success before the individual phase was lit up in almost every matchup.

ree

Darren Smith was a 3-0 winner, thanks in part to a leg in 15 and a 72 checkout before Nathan Langdon ended his 3-0 success with a ten ton haul overall.

Kev Seal knocked over Martin Pearson 3-2 with both players hitting 15 darters and the difference between the two coming in the form of 70 and 125 kills.

ree

Rob May can count himself unlucky to be paired with an in-form Stout, as his 16 dart leg was only good enough for a solitary leg in a 3-1 reversal.

Washington and Jewell rounded off the night with a 3-2 win for the former, which provided three of the four aforementioned maxis.

ree

Danny Bull fired twelve tons to add to ten more from each of Dave Matthews and Kelvin Rowe that came during a 9-2 win for Indian Inn A versus Kings Tamerton.

Matthews' ton total was topped up by the only maximum of the contest and he added a leg in 18 darts during a 3-1 singles success.

Harry Bull banged in a 17 darter in a 3-0 victory, whilst Rowe's 94 combination gave him the best of the thirty-two finishes in the matchup.

ree

King Billy A's 9-2 win over Legends Lounge C was ticked in that direction by eleven tons from Tony Tasker and Lee Doncaster.

The highlight of Doncaster's evening was his 180, which was matched by Chris Beale for the defeated party, whilst Paddy Archibald's 89 kill helped him to a 3-0 singles success.

ree

Ten tons from Mike Nancholas, including checkouts of 115 and 116, steered Fawn A in the right direction of a 6-5 success that went down to the very last possible leg.

George Beckett was a 3-0 winner in the individual phase with a 180 and a 15 darter, providing the highlights, before Dave Pethick held his nerve in the 3-2 last singles win.
