Hayman earns plaudits with another top performance

ANTONY Hayman (pictured) earned the plaudits once again in the Plymouth and District Friday League when, inspiring Brewery Tap A to an 11-2 victory over Porters, he clinched his singles in just 27 darts for a 37.07 average.

His first 18 darts scored 790 points, which included back to back 180s, before he finished the feat with an outshot of 120.

There is no change at the top of the table after the leading two sides both secured maximum points.

Kings Tamerton Community Centre defeated Brewery Tap B while Royal Naval Arms A were 13-0 winners against their stablemates Royal Naval Arms B, boosted by a 31-dart singles success for Andy Bates (32.29).

Dinky Diner A secured all but one of the 13 points that were on offer when they hosted City Social B, while City Social C defeated Mainstone SC 9-4 and The Tradesman overcame Weston Mill Oak Villa 11-2.

Matt Thompson (100x12) top scored for Steam Packet in their 10-3 victory over Pennycross Social Club while an outshot of 110 from Paul Barclay was the highlight of Octagon’s 10-3 success against Railway Inn.

City Social A took maximum points from their home fixture against Indian Inn A and had Glynn Wells, Kieran Burns and Jordan Grimshaw (28.60) claiming their trebles games in 35.

Mark Hatherley was on target with a brace of 180s as Indian Inn B triumphed 8-5 against Bull and Bush while the Ernesettle side had Steve Eveley and Chris Beale (27.05) catching the eye when taking their doubles in 37.

The two remaining fixtures produced 8-5 victories for both Queen and Constitution and The Windmill against Victory Inn and The Fawn respectively.
