Cook-ing On Gas Towards County Selection

Plymouth's two representative teams in the Cornwall Super League both continued their good starts to the new county season with victories that keep them in touch with the leading teams.

Scott Cook (30.06) empathically made it 9 points from 9 played personally in Torpoint Cons B's 8-3 win over Callington with legs of 16,16,18 and two maximums.

The other maximums were chalked up by Paul Goundry, Lewis Dare and Andy Waters with the former also adding twelve more three figure scores to top score with thirteen.

Lee Rodmell (26.84) continued his good personal form with an accomplished 3-0 win thanks to legs of 15 and 18 darts.

Dare (25.05) won a leg in 18 darts in his 3-0 win and hit eleven ton plusses overall whilst Paddy Archibald (22.77) also repeated the 18 dart feat for the Torpoint based team.

Andrew Waters (20.84) became the fifth triumphant member of the team after surviving going a leg down to win 3-1.

The Torpoint Cons A team came away from their visit to Churchill Bars with a first win of the season against the bottom side; a 9-2 away triumph.

That was largely thanks to a thirteen ton contribution from Scott Wapshott (23.40) who also won his individual game 3-2 which included legs of 15 and 17.

Paul Palmer (27.32) notched one of two 180s in the game and won legs in 16 and 18 darts in a 3-0 singles victory whilst Matt Chegwin (21.16) hit a maximum and also won 3-0.

Reg Matthews did manage to reach double figures in ton plusses but finished as the only loser in the individual phase; going down 3-1.

Jayden Dodd (22.10) made it maximum points from his start to life in the league with a 3-0 win whilst former Cornwall man Mark Yeoman (20.31) also won by the same scoreline to make it 8 points from 9.
