Hurry Up Harry, Come On!

Harry Bull's twelve tons couldn't arrest Indian Inn's slide to a 7-4 defeat in their Monday Premier League visit to Victory.

Despite some outstanding scoring, Bull suffered a reversal in the single phase as Quinton Taylor bagged himself legs in 16 and 17 darts during a 3-1 win.

Taylor's teammate Luke Johnson also produced the goods in the singles phase with 17 and 18 darters helping him to a 3-1 win of his own.

Tony Tasker added an 18 dart leg in his 3-0 win whilst Liam Taylor was unlucky to lose 3-2 after putting up a leg in 16 darts.

Alex Roach was a 180 hitter in a 3-1 singles defeat that saw him check a leg in 18 darts whilst Quinton Taylor was the other recipient of a maximum call after throwing.

Scott Cook's twelve tons included a 100 checkout for King Billy B who suffered a 6-5 defeat at the hands of Cherry Tree B.

Cook's brilliant finish was only good enough for second best in the contest as Marc Webber heard 'game shot' called from 112 at the first time of asking.

Eleven tons from Jaden Whitting led the way for Tradesmans to demolish Colebrook by an 11-0 score line in a match that also saw eight 180s.

Scott Wapshott provided almost half of those with a trio whilst Whitting, Fred Goldsmith and Simon Washington were also three treble hitters.

Zak Smith and Nick Furneaux added to that maximum total for the opposition whilst three ton plus out shots were put away by the champions' elect.

A Wapshott 146 checkout was sandwiched into second best by two pieces of brilliance by Lee Agar who added a 100 finish to his biggest checkout; a 147 kill.

John Mann was also on song for the visitors from Stonehouse with ten tons whilst Dan Giles put up the best fight for the hosts with a dectet of three figure scores of his own.

The best leg of the match did come from a Colebrook player as Smith's 14 darter came in one of three 3-1 defeats in the individual phase.

The Octagon derby saw A get the better of B by an 8-3 score line whilst the scoring phase of play was dominated by Paul Palmer and Chris Edgecombe who added ten tons each for either side.

Edgecombe's tally was topped up by the defeated team's only maximum whilst Palmer's teammates Lee Hellings, Sean Burkitt and Paul Hendy made it a quartet of 180s in the contest.

Jayden Dodd had his finishing boots on with checkouts of 110 and 116 for the two best of the game whilst there was a number of short legs in the matchup.

Palmer and Edgecombe clashed in the singles with the latter adding a 16 darter to the former's leg in 17 during a 3-1 success for Palmer.

Another 16 darter was added by Hellings who did so in a 3-0 success that was one of five singles won by the designated away side.

New Cornwall cap Lisa Hellings put away 154 in a single visit for the best checkout of the week across all fixtures in a 6-5 win for King Billy A over Bluebird B.

Hellings' teammate Andrew Cook provided the only maximum of the game for their side whilst Glenn Austin made it one a piece in the 180 stakes.

Tony Teal's 17 darter came in a 3-1 win for the Compton side before Austin (25.91) won 3-0 to leave the score line locked at 5-5 going into the last singles rubber.

Alec Turner did the business for his side with a 3-0 triumph in the finale of the topsy turvy clash that saw his side surrender 2-0 and 3-1 leads before winning out at the death.

Two of the three maximums in the match came from the hand of Dale Halford but his Bluebird A team were downed by Cherry Tree A.

Stuart Couling joined his teammate in hitting the other whilst Matt Nicholson provided the fireworks for the victors with an 18 darter in his 3-1 win.
