King Billy Are All By The Cook

Andrew Cook's seventeen three figure scores helped King Billy A eventually get over the line against a spirited Fawn B team who pushed the Steve Chapman 501 League champions all of the way.

Cook also checked a leg in 14 which proved crucial in a 3-2 success over Jodie Hawton in the last tie of the evening.

Cook's teammate John Mann ably assisted Cook with fifteen ton plusses whilst Antony Hayman produced eleven and Alec Turner reached ten.

Mann's (28.36) 3-0 singles victory was a precession of masterful tungsten with the Devon marksman producing legs of 18 and 16 darts.

These efforts were helped along by a 100 checkout and one of two maximums the veteran hit during the contest overall.

Despite the scoreline looking very much one sided, Mann was pushed all of the way by opponent Neil White who reached eleven tons during the match as a whole.

Mann's finish was only beaten on the night by a 140 kill in a single visit by teammate Reece Day during his 3-2 singles success.

Lee Agar was also prominent for the defeated home team with winning legs of 14 and 18 darts in a 3-1 win over Hayman that saw Agar score his team's only maximum of the contest.

Ian Heggie top scored with thirteen ton plusses, including a maximum, but finished on the wrong end of a 9-2 defeat to St Levans.

Heggie did win his singles 3-1 with the help of legs in 16 and 15 darts allowing him a victory over Mike Pearce who himself reached eleven tons over the course of the night.

Heggie's teammates Chris and Mike Beale also added their names to the 180 column whilst Mike and Tex Pearce replied in kind for the victors.

Tex Pearce added to that effort to bring his total to twelve tons and won a leg of his 3-0 individual success in just 13 darts.

Shaun Dring was also prominent for the victorious team with a 16 dart leg in a 3-0 as well as ten ton plusses added to the scoreboard in his name.

Danny Allen won a leg in 16 in a 3-2 singles win and ended with twelve tons overall during a 7-4 defeat for his Victory B team against Octagon.

Jayden Dodd top scored for the visitors with twelve tons of his own whilst Alfie Ford also reached eleven for the contest.

Lewis Dare with a third Stonehouse competitor to reach double figures in tons and added a 16 darter of his own in a 3-0 win.

Ralph Lancaster's 116 checkout was the highest of the contest whilst Tony Lamerton helped himself to the only maximum between the two sides.

Paul Hendy notched as many as sixteen three figure scores during an 8-3 win for the Kings Arms over Victory A.

Hendy's 17 darter in a 2-1 win was the best of the match and Hendy was one of two players from his team to hit a maximum; Paul Palmer with the other.

Hendy's teammate Dave Algar checked a leg in 18 darts during his 3-0 singles win as well as finishing a three dart combination of 110 in a single visit to the board.

That effort was only beaten by Tony Tasker's 124 checkout for the Victory who had Paul Goundry top scoring with eleven tons.

Quinton Taylor's brace of 18 darters and 180 wasn't enough to stop him from slipping to a 3-2 singles defeat to Warren Gordon.

King Billy B shared five maximums amongst the team as they overcame Fawn A by a 9-2 scoreline with Mark Shears netting himself a brace.

Billy Evans, Paul Gavican and Matt Chegwin all added to that 180 total with one a piece whilst Chegwin and Gavican both added nine more three figure scores each to take their individual totals to ten.

Shears also managed a leg in 14 during his 3-0 win whilst Pete Cudmore-Ray checked a leg in 18 darts during his 3-2 win for his team's only noteworthy contribution of the matchup.
