Red Bit To A Bull
Harry Bull showed the form that helped him achieve so much in his fledgling career to date as he set about Bluebird C with thirteen tons in Raffles 7-4 Plymouth City Super League win.

That mammoth total was topped up by a brace of 180s and helped the 2023 Champion of Champions Finalist towards his 3-2 singles win that contained winning legs of 16 and 17 darts.
Bull's teammates also contributed to the win with an 82 checkout from Alec Turner in his 3-1 singles success and a leg in 17 in James Ewing's 3-0 success.

The only moment of magic from the visitors came in the form of a Nigel Bassett 180 in the aforementioned defeat to Ewing.
Lewis Dare's handsome thirteen ton plusses couldn't stop his Victory B team from falling to a 6-5 defeat away at Saltram.

Dare (28.36) showed the undoubted class that's made him one of the most revered players around with a brace of 180s and a 118 checkout in a 3-0 win that was won with legs of 15 and 17 darts.
Dare was well supported in the match by Kelvin Rowe who bagged twelve tons for his evening's work, including a 108 kill in the trebles whilst teammate Lee Hunter chalked up a maximum.

The winning leg for the Saltram was put onto the scoreboard by Reg Matthews who checked a leg in a single visit from 112 to give him a 3-1 triumph.
Simon Stevenson had the rare achievement of hitting at least one maximum in each of the three ties he played in; a total of four being thrown by Stevenson to add to a personal tally of ton plusses to thirteen.

However, what was more obscure was the former PDC Tour Card holder only ending up on the winning side just once in those matches as Fawn A were brushed aside by reigning champions King Billy by a 9-2 score line.
Stevenson's 3-1 singles success came with the help of legs in 15 and 18 darts, and an 88 checkout with opponent Paddy Archibald firing back a leg in 18.

In addition to Stevenson's maximum haul, teammate Dave Roberts put a brace of 180s on the board to give his team six overall.
Despite that phenomenal showing from the Greenbank team's talismen, it was Antony Hayman's side that stole the show with the former Devon and Cornwall star putting up thirteen three figure scores.

King Billy's two maximums came from Hayman and teammate Paul Goundry who also added a leg in 15 during his 3-1 success.
Hayman won his singles 3-0 with legs in 18 and 12 darts to cap a good night for the title holders who are still trying to cling onto the coat tails of the runaway leaders, Octagon, who made it seventeen wins in a row.

Their latest victims were Fawn B who were whitewashed 11-0 with Alfie Ford top scoring with a superb thirteen ton haul.
In addition, three other members of the team, John Mann, Lee Hellings and Dave Matthews all reached double figures in ton plusses.

Hellings was the best of those with eleven tons whilst Mann and Matthews both ticked their totals over to ten a piece.
The best finish of the evening came from Hellings 76 whilst teammate Fred Goldsmith netted the only maximum of the tie.

There was a string on pretty solid averages in the doubles phase with Mann and Matthews (25.03) setting a decent 40 dart 1001 target in the first pairs match.
That was bettered by Ford and Hellings (28.60) who won their 1001 match in 35 darts before a leg won in 37 over the same distance by Goldsmith and White (27.05) completed the team games.

Moments of world class action continued in the individuals; the best of which coming from White (25.47) who ploughed home his tie 3-0 with the help of legs in 15 and 18 darts.
Both Mann and Goldsmith also notched a leg each in 16 darts during the second legs of their particularly 3-0 wins, which contributed to the lead at the top stretching to fourteen after just eighteen weeks.

Jason Goldsmith produced a remarkable period of sustained scoring excellence with twelve tons but still found himself on the wrong side of a 7-4 defeat as Victory C were downed by Clifton.
The maximums appeared to play a pivotal role in that result as one each from Clifton's Kevin Seal, Andy Pengelly and Dan Jewell helped them to two of the seven points claimed.

Seal was also clinical at the business end of a particular leg in his 3-0 win with a 15 darter beating a leg in 18 from teammate Wayne Davis.
Goldsmith was joined in the individual winner's circle on the night by only one other teammate as James Smith sealed his 3-0 triumph with a 110 checkout.

An 8-3 success for Colebrook in their visit to Bluebird A was dominated by Steve Hiscox eleven ton personal tally.
Hiscox defeated Glenn Austin in the singles phase 3-2 with a 16 darter from Hiscox providing to be the decisive blow in a top notch contest.

One of those legs Austin chalked up was put away with a 110 checkout that bettered a 100 checkout from Hiscox' teammate Nathan Langdon with Langdon also providing his team's only maximum.
On a relatively quiet night by Glenn Halford's superb standards, he still managed to throw the Compton team's sole 180 of the tie.

A 14 darter from John Donald wasn't enough for him to claim a win; going down 3-1 in his first outing in the Plymouth City Super League since a recent stint in the South Devon Darts League.
Stephen Mills was Cherry Tree's star man with ten tons in a 6-5 success for the Pennycross based outfit in their visit to Kings Arms A.
Despite ending on the wrong side of a narrow defeat, Pete Dunbar still had time to pick up the highest checkout honours across all fixtures with a 150 three dart combination.

A close run contest that saw all eight of the first ties coming down to a single leg shootout should quite rightly be decided by the final game.
And it was John Greatrex who stepped up to the mark to give his team the spoils with a well battled 3-0 success.
Victory A further cemented their position as the league's third best team with an 11-0 win over Hyde Park who despite ending on the losing side, did hit the lion's share of 180s in the match.

Three of the five shared between the two teams went to Ben Welsh, Mike Trim and James Duke with the latter also hitting a 107 checkout in one of only two legs won by his team.
The other maximums went the way of Matt Chegwin and Scott Cook with a 104 finish also coming Chegwin's way.

Cook's 18 dart leg in a precession of individual matches that ended 3-0 to the visitors was the best of any leg chalked up by the Honicknowle side.
A brace of maximums from George Beckett, two of four hit during the contest, helped see Steampacket to victory in their 6-5 win over St Levans.

St Levans took a 5-1 lead in the match as Tex Pearce his a 13 darter during his 3-1; a lead which looked unassailable for the Devonport hosts.
However, Marc Webber started the comeback trail with a 3-0 win before Kayleigh Adams defeated Devon teammate Anna Johnson 3-1 with a 120 checkout and a leg in just 18 darts.

Phil Taylor then hit a maximum on his way to a 3-2 success over Mark Hopkins who replied with his team's sole 180 of the evening.
Beckett then brought the game to 5-5 before Tony Reid held his nerve to run out a 3-0 winner and give his teammates an unthinkable result.

A 180 a piece from Roger Bailey and Paul Tackle, as well as a 72 checkout from Ralph Lancaster didn't arrest Ker St's silde to an 8-3 defeat to Victoria.
Steve McAteer checked a leg in 18 during a 3-1 success over Bailey; one of five singles chalked up by the Plymstock side.
In what was a relatively quiet affair for this level of darts, Duchy Of Cornwall bested Half Moon 8-3 to claim their second win of the campaign; narrowing the gap between the league's bottom two to a single point.
