Cherry Tree B's start to the new Steve Chapman 501 League season stuttered with a 6-5 defeat to a new team, Queen & Constitution, but John Mann was still on hand to produce fifteen tons for the defeated side.

Mann also contributed two of the six 180s to his total as teammate Nick Miller added three efforts from the newcomers.
Keith Johnson, Tom Full, and Alan Cook all fired three treble visits, whilst a smattering of top class stuff lit up the singles phase.

Steve Mills fired a 112 checkout in a 3-0 win, and Cook was a 3-1 winner thanks in part to a leg that was put away in 16.
Twelve tons rained down from the arm of Ant Pearn, and that, coupled with ten three figure visits from Andrew Cook, helped King Billy secure a 9-2 win at Bar Mez.

Three of the four maximums were provided by Pearn's teammates, as a solitary effort from Lewis Byrne added to Brandon Hartley's brace.
Hartley also produced the goods at the business end with a 119 single visit checkout that was only bettered on the night by a 143 from Paul Tackle.

Tackle also helped himself to a three treble visit, whilst Cook and Hartley put together an 18 darter over the 601 distance in a 2-0 doubles win.
Cook and Hartley carried on their heroics into the singles phase as Cook bagged a 3-0 win that contained legs in 18 and 14 darts.

Hartley's 3-0 win was accentuated by a 17 darter, whilst Pearn knitted together a solitary leg in 18 during another 3-0 success.
AJ Brunton added eleven tons to the scoreboard but still found himself on the wrong end of a 9-2 loss as Duchy Dragons were downed by Indian Inn.

Mark Hatherley provided the ammunition for that triumph with ten ton plusses and a 76 single visit checkout that was the best of all combinations nailed in the matchup.
A 10-1 win for Fawn B against Tradesmans saw Fred Goldsmith topping his ton tally out at eleven, whilst teammate Mackenzie Sargeant nailed the only 180.

Goldsmith and Sargeant shared the honours for the highest two checkouts, as Sargeant's 82 was only bettered by a 94 by Goldsmith.
A 15 darter by Goldsmith in his 3-0 win was quickly followed by a leg in 17 from Sean Taylor in another 3-0 success before Sargeant bagged a 17 dart leg of his own in a 3-1 triumph.

Lewis Dare heard scores of a ton or more called no fewer than eleven times during an 8-3 win for Raffles against Plymstock Social Club.
Dare's stablemate Luke Beard put his team's solitary 180, which was matched by Brad Simpson for the defeated party.

Simpson also nailed a 101 checkout, whilst the best leg in the match came with a 601 leg put away by Will Broome and Simon Wilbraham in just 24 darts.
Both Tex Pearce and Harry MacGregor put up eleven ton hauls but still ended up on the wrong side of a 7-4 loss as Cherry Tree A downed St Levans.

Pearce put on a 180 to complete his total, with the other three treble visits coming from Simon Washington and a trio by Jason Pinkerton.
Mark Shears top scored for the victors with ten scores of a ton or more, whilst Scott Wapshott did most of his damage at the business end with checkouts of 103 and 130.

Those efforts came in a 3-1 singles win for Wapshott that also saw a leg tumble in 15 darts, whilst Pinkerton was also a 3-1 victor with legs in 18 and 15 darts helping his cause.
Jayden Dodd's ten scores of a ton or more dominated proceedings in a 10-1 Stonehouse derby win for Octagon at Duchy.

The home team had Jack Heath netting a 180 and Gareth Harper finishing twice at the first time of asking from a ton with checkouts of 125 and 115.
Ten three figure visits from Mike Nancholas couldn't arrest Fawn A's slide to an 8-3 loss at Firkin Scholar as the victors put together three maximums.

The trio of Lee Bannister, Rhys Castle, and Callum Horn all contributed once to that maxi total, whilst Bannister also added a 101 kill to his night's work.
Steve Ebsworth showed his sharpshooting at the business end with a leg in 18 darts and a single visit combination outshot of 90.

Ten tons from Paul Palmer provided the platform from which Victory launched their campaign with a 6-5 win at The Exchange.
Whilst the night ended in disappointment for his team. Rikki Eastley did still manage a 110 checkout that proved crucial in deciding a 3-2 singles win.

Falstaff's 10-1 win against Beacon Park had Kelvin Rowe at the heart of it as he put away two legs in 16 darts and added a 180 in his 3-0 singles success.
Darren Collis found a leg in 18 during another 3-0 triumph, whilst Quinton Taylor's 3-0 victory saw a leg in 18 and the highest checkout of 135.

That effort narrowly bettered a 132 from teammate Scott Lawrey, which meant Collis' 100 kill had to settle for third best in the finishing stakes.
Kev Lofthouse and Cleo Trelease put up a 180 each as Lofthouse's Cherry Tree C defeated Trelease's Legends Lounge B by a 7-4 scoreline.

Lofthouse's teammates, Billy Evans and Cameron O'Brien, both added notable events to the match with a 109 finish and an 18 dart leg, respectively.
A 9-2 win for Cherry Tree D at Legends Lounge A saw Pete Holland and Rob Newland pair to take a 601 leg in 18 darts.

Newland followed that with an 18 darter over the 501 distance in a 3-0 triumph, whilst the only noteworthy contribution for the defeated team came from Tony Conn with a 118 checkout.
