The Main Mann On Form

The only double figure winners of the week were the unbeaten King Billy A who have now opened up a huge ten point lead at the top after just six games played.


John Mann notched sixteen ton plusses with winning legs in his 3-1 singles success of 18,20,20 over Ian Heggie.



Heggie himself fired back an 18 dart leg of his own as well as ten tons overall and was involved in the only leg won by his Indian team to put them 1-0 up.


Mann's teammate Andrew Cook (27.83) wasn't to be outdone with three 18 dart legs including a maximum, and Antony Hayman (27.32) was also at his imperious best with a 3-0 win in 20,18,17 and a 120 checkout.


Hayman however was beaten to the highest finish of the match prize by stablemate Andrew Nation who took out a fine 124 finish.


At the top of the chasing pack are the Victory A who won 9-2 over a weakened St Levans side for whom Anna Johnson was on form with eleven ton plusses.



One point further back are the King Billy B who secured eight points away at the Kings Arms with Billy Evans performing well for the visitors with twelve tons on his return to action.


Also chalking up twelve was Evans' teammate Mark Shears and Evans also teamed up with Steph Jones in the doubles for a magnificent 17 dart 601 for a massive average of 35.35 per dart.



Lee Hellings was prominent throughout for the Octagon who secured a 7-4 win at the Fawn A and now sit in fourth.


Hellings had a maximum, a 17 dart leg and eleven three figure scores to maintain his own unbeaten start whilst teammate Dave Pethick also plundered a maximum for the Stonehouse team.



Not to be outdone, Mike Nancholas also notched ten tons of his own with one of those being a 100 kill.


Torpoint Cons were 8-3 winners over the Victory B with Lee Rodmell taking the highest finish of the week prize; a fine 127 in three.


Despite this feat, Rodmell would go onto to lose 3-2 to Dan Johnson who is enjoying a welcomed return to form putting twelve ton plusses on the scoreboard in this encounter.



Johnson's teammate, Danny Allen, also showed his best form with a 107 finish and a maximum for the beaten side.


Fawn B returned from their trip to the Cherry Tree with an 8-3 win having both Mike O'Brien and Darren Smith to thank in part as the former secured ten tons on the night and the latter a maximum.
