White Bright For Victory

No team was ever ahead by more than one leg in this topsy-turvy affair in which the Weston Mill team led four times before Kevin Hullcoop won the final game of the night 2-0 thanks in part to an 88 checkout.
Trevor Neal checked a leg with a 130 finish for the Railway but saw his team finish on the wrong end of a 7-4 defeat to Duchy.
Paul Nash scored the only 180 of a 6-5 win for Ker St over Fortescue whilst Cherry Tree A got their season up and running with a 9-2 win over King Billy B.
In Division A, Marc Mills finished a 148 three dart combination outshot for Lugger as they defeated Ker St C 10-1 whilst Ker St B's Brian Bishop scored the only maximum of a 7-4 loss for his team against Falstaff A.
King Billy A made it two wins from two outings in the top league after surviving going 5-2 down to recover to Cherry Tree B.
Antony Hayman was prominent with nine ton plusses in just two games and helped himself to an 18 dart leg in his 2-0 singles win.
Hayman's individual success sparked a revival that was eventually completed by teammate Ben Webb who won a final leg decider to give the 'Billy Boyz' the victory.
In St Levans first outing of the season, they picked up a 9-2 win over Shakespeare with the only noteworthy contribution coming from John Sturdy's 63 outshot.
In Division C, Darren Savory's 92 checkout helped his B team win the St Johnston derby over the A team 6-5 overall.
John Turpin was the B team's hero as he used all of his experience to dispatch the sixth point for his team in the tie of eleven played.
Stoke Inn made it two wins from two outings with a 6-5 success of their own over Jolly Miller thanks to a Mark Bryant last leg salvo.
Joint biggest winners of the week in the division were Queens Dock who secured a 9-2 win over Ker St B whilst Half Moon matched that score with a victory away at Falstaff B.
