Three teams take maximum points but Porters stay top

THREE teams secured maximum points in the Plymouth City Super League with league leaders Porters B being one of them when defeating Hyde Park Social Club to increase their lead to five points.

Maritime B also won 11-0 away at Clifton B, winning the six singles with the loss of a single leg while Dartsworld equalled that scoreline when hosting Cons B.

Dartsworld hit no fewer than 68 throws of a ton or more led by Mark Turner (100x15), Lewis Dare (100x14) and Paul Palmer (100x13) but to be fair to the Plympton side, they played a lot better than the scoreline suggested, evident in the fact that four of the singles went the full five legs.

HIGH CHECKOUT: Maritime's Phil Hoyle threw the week's highest checkout of 160, inspiring Maritime A to victory against The Albemarle.

The Staddy remain in second spot after winning 7-4 at Plympton Cons A but have a game in hand on the leaders and Ker St Social Club also won by the same margin away at Kings Arms B while Kings Arms A triumphed 8-3 at Ships Tavern.

There were 8-3 victories for both Compton Social Club and Clifton A against St Levan Inn and Porters A respectively while another win by the same margin was gained by Maritime A when hosting The Albermarle.

Their win was boosted when Phil Hoyle recorded the week’s highest checkout of 160 while other notable finishes from around the board were achieved by: Steve Caiels (150), James Duke (119), Andy Bond (114), Paul Goundry (111), Brian Bibik (103), Dave Roberts (102), John Easterbrook (100).
