DAN Scott (pictured) achieved the highest possible finish and set a new mark for the season’s top checkout in the Monday Premier League when he fired in an outshot of 170 as Maritime won 9-2 away at Indian Inn A.

Shaun Dring (100x16) also gave a good account of himself while Danny Bull, for the hosts, emerged a 3-1 winner, aided by a leg in 15.

Steam Packet B had to come from behind to preserve their unbeaten record away at Plympton Cons.

Paul Bowen (100x13) had put Cons 5-4 up only for the tabletoppers to take the last two singles through Quinton Taylor and Alex Brown to win by the narrowest of margins.

Brookside A remain in the mix after a 9-2 victory away at City Social, buoyed by a 3-0 singles success for Keelan Kay (28.36) in 18, 18 and 17.

The Tradesman secured all but one of the 11 points on offer when they visited Steam Packet A, with Mike O’Brien (100x12) as their leading marksman, while Octagon A defeated Indian Inn B 8-3.

Shaun Kittle was on target with a brace of 180s as Bluebird A overcame Ford Hotel 7-4 while Prince Maurice B edged out Brookside B by the narrowest of margins.

Octagon B made a good recovery when hosting Bluebird B and came from 5-2 down to win 6-5 after taking the last four singles, including a 3-2 success for Ryan Ring (180x2).

Stewart Roberts caught the eye for Bluebird and was their top marksman with 14 scores of a ton or more.

Brewery Tap restricted Hyde Park to just a single point when winning in double figures and had Pete James emerging a 3-0 winner, his best leg being won in 15 darts.

Prince Maurice A defeated Cherry Tree 7-4 and had Micky Organ winning 3-1, aided by a 15-darter, while Glenn Halford and Lee Roberts won their 601 doubles in two straight legs which included a leg in 19.

Rich Coombs (100x11) was the only singles success for the Pennycross side and won 3-1, aided by two legs in 18.

Porters A lost their unbeaten record when they went down by the narrowest of margins away at Firkin Scholar.

Lewis Dare (100x14) top scored for Porters while Simon Washington emerged a 3-0 winner for the hosts, aided by a leg in 14.

Porters Pretenders overcame Compton Social Club 8-3 and had Mark Shears (25.05) winning his singles in 20, 19 and 21.

In the remaining fixture, Plympton Cons were the week’s biggest winners and inflicted on Waterloo Inn an 11-0 whitewash.
