City businessmen back Keelan in new sponsorship deal
KEELAN Kay has produced some excellent performances this year, on both the JDC Scott Farms International Tour and the PDC Development Tour and they have not gone unnoticed.
Consequently, Keelan has won a new sponsorship deal with Plymouth company MEP Systems.
The company are based at Bell Close, Plympton and undertake all aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering works.

All of their mechanical and electrical packages are co-ordinated in-house and provide a comprehensive service using the latest advances in technology and in compliance with building control regulations.
And they are not the only ones. The 17-year-old also has the backing of four more influential sponsors.
Modus Darts are his management and sponsorship company. They were formed in 1997 and now represent many of the world’s leading professionals including Michael van Gerwen.
Each of their players benefit from dedicated management and promotion which enables them to focus 100% on their game.
Red Dragon supplies Keelan with all his darting equipment from flights and stems to darts and dartboards while also coming on board recently was Sally Haines.
Sally is the managing director of Team Sazz, a company based in Berkshire which provides Keelan with all his playing shirts as they also do with a lot of top players including England captain Scott Mitchell.
Last but not least Keelan also has a sponsorship deal with former Devon county player Martin Roads.
Martin made his county debut in the 1974/75 season and went on to represent Devon 85 times, winning 56 of his matches for a 65.88 average.
The 62-year-old, formerly from Exeter but now living in Camberley, is joint managing director with his wife Alison of Hammerhead Hygiene.
With over 30 years’ experience, the expertise that has been gained by Hammerhead Hygiene enables them to provide its customers with a clean and healthy environment by supplying a “total deep cleansing service” that will exceed expectations.
Hammerhead Hygiene also provide an emergency drains call out service which includes specialist disinfection and emergency decontamination services.
Keelan will remain busy for the remainder of the year and will next be in action as early as July 7. when he competes in the England Grand Prix event in Bristol.
Just three days later, The Lord of the Board will captain England Youth in the WDF Europe Cup in Ankara, Turkey, before playing at the Halle 39, Hildesheim in Germany, to contest four events on the PDC Development Tour.
The JDC World Cup, JDC European Open and JDC World Championship qualifiers will all be played for from September 24 -26 before the last of the four PDC Development Tours will be competed for at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.
Arguably the biggest tournament on the calendar for any player is the World Championships and the PDC World Youth Championship will take place on Wednesday November 4.
At the end of 2019, Keelan will sit down with his management team to discuss the options for 2020 and, if results go to form, there is a strong possibility that Keelan could be celebrating his 18th birthday on January 18 . . . at PDC Q School.
