Status quo at the top of the table after two 11-0 wins

PLACES remain unaltered at the top of the Plymouth City Super League after the leading duo both secured maximum points from their respective fixtures.

Brewery Tap lead by virtue of having played a game more than their title rivals and in defeating Ker St B 11-0, put 63 ton plus scores on the board which included three maximums from Malcolm Johns.

Andy Bates (100x13) was also prominent and in a 3-0 singles victory, hit two 17 darters.

Octagon Social Club whitewashed The Staddy in a high-scoring fixture that produced 113 throws of a ton or more.

The Staddy played a lot better than the scoreline suggests, putting up 50 ton plus throws of their own and made three of their opponents go the full five legs in the singles.

But it’s doubles that win darts matches and it was Octgaon who hit them all.

Neil White, Dave Pethick and Mike Beard took their treble in 33 (30.33) and Beard took his double also in 33, when partnered with Alfie Ford.

White (100x13) emered a 3-2 singles winner in 15, 19 and 21 and Lee Hellings won 3-1 in 19, 21 and 21.

Plympton Cons B suffered their first defeat when they went down 7-4 away at Kings B, the same winning result that was also achieved by Bluebird Bandits when hosting Cherry Tree.

Bluebird A won 8-3 away at The Clifton and had Glenn Halford top scoring with 14 throws of a ton or more which included a brace of 180s.

A double’s win in 33 (30.33) by Keith Blight and Dan Searle put Kings Tamerton Community Centre 4-0 up, but following a late rally from Steam Packet, Simon Godfrey had to win the last singles in order for Kings Tamerton to win by the narrowest of margins.

St Levan Inn made the journey to Victoria worthwhile when returning with a 6-5 victory while The Fawn, Hyde Park Social Club and Victory A also posted 9-2 victories.
