Hay Day For Antony In Derby Win

Thirteen tons from Antony Hayman led King Billy A to a 9-2 success in the Monday Premier League King Billy derby match against their B team.

Andrew Cook was also prominent with an eleven ton haul that contained the game's only maximum and a 130 checkout.

That Cook finish was blown out of the water by a mammoth 156 finish from the B team's Paul Gavican; a checkout that claimed the highest of the match and week across all fixtures.

Gavican's huge finish came in a 3-0 individual win that also contained a 15 darter, which was the only leg to better Hayman's leg in 17 during another 3-0 success.

George Beckett's twelve ton personally tally fired Cherry Tree B to a 7-4 success over Bluebird A as Beckett's teammate Marc Webber also managed ten three figure scores.

Despite ending on the wrong side of the match score line, the Compton side still managed three of the four maximums as Dale Halford added a brace to Stuart Couling's solitary effort.

Mark Hopkins added his team's only 180 of the game whilst Webber's 16 darter in a 3-0 success was the best leg of the contest.

Beckett (26.84) also won by a score line of 3-0 thanks to a beautifully crafted outing that saw the best leg come in 17 darts.

Twelve tons from Quinton Taylor lit up Victory's 9-2 success in their visit to Colebrook, for whom Dan Giles claimed a 16 dart leg in a 3-1 win and Zak Smith added the Plympton outfit's only maximum.

Tony Tasker and Alex Roach both added maximums for the victorious visitors whilst Tasker's checkout of 80 was the best mustered by the twelve competitors on display.

Glenn Austin's eleven three figure scores couldn't arrest Bluebird B's slide to a 6-5 defeat at the hands of Octagon B.

Alfie Ford's ten tons helped Octagon A to a 6-5 win over Indian with Al Rowe also contributing a dectet of three figure scores for the defeated side.

Rowe's teammate Lee Wyatt provided the only maximum of the match whilst at the business end of legs, Lee Hellings' 116 checkout was the best finish from all twelve players on display.

Hellings nailed legs of 18 and 17 darts during a 3-0 success whilst Harry Bull was a 3-1 winner thanks in part to a leg in 16.

Ten tons from John Mann provided the main scoring highlight of Tradesmans 11-0 win over Cherry Tree A in a match that saw no fewer than seven maximums.

Mike Whatley and Paul Freeman heard '180' be called after throwing whilst the quintet of Mann, Simon Washington, Scott Wapshott, Jaden Whitting and Lee Agar all fired a three treble visit for the hosts.

The only player that didn't hit a maximum for the reigning champions was Fred Goldsmith who made up for that with a 114 checkout that was the highest of the matchup.

Mann, Agar and Washington started the evening by putting together a fine 801 trebles leg in just 24 darts for a 33.38 single dart average.

Washington then teamed with Goldsmith (30.05) in the doubles to put away 601 in 19 and 21 darts before the world class darts continued in the individuals.

Mann (34.95) won 3-0 with the help of 12, 14 and 17 darters before Goldsmith added legs in 16 and 18 darts during his win by the same score line.

Wapshott added a 13 darter during his 3-0 win before Matt Nicholson managed a solitary leg in 17 in a 3-2 defeat in the last rubber of the match.
