Rinse, Wash-ington, Repeat

Two of the top three in the Monday Premier League played out a classic in which Tradesmans remained unbeaten by the skin of their teeth with a 6-5 success over Stonehouse neighbours Octagon A.

Simon Washington was one of multiple stars that shone bright during that success as he nailed a 150 three dart combination out shot for the best of all thirty-four checkouts in the match, as well as the week across all fixtures.

Despite ending on the wrong side of the defeat, Luke Johnson top scored with twelve tons that included a 108 checkout and one of the four maximums.

Teammate Paul Palmer added to that effort whilst the other two came from Washington and his teammate Mike O'Brien.

O'Brien's maximum was one of eleven scores of a ton or more personally whilst Palmer ticked his ton tally over to the ten mark with his maxi.

Lee Hellings also showed good scoring form with eleven ton plusses and both of O'Brien's teammates, Fred Goldsmith and Alec Turner, reached ten tons apiece.

The leaders and reigning champions 4-0 lead was built upon a foundation of an 801 leg that was put away in just 27 darts by Agar, Turner and Washington.

The individual phase included more excellence as Palmer bested O'Brien 3-2 thanks to a crucial leg in just 14 darts.

Goldsmith was a 3-0 winner thanks in part to a 13 darter to make the game safe at 6-2 before the third placed team mounted a comeback to make the score line respectable.

Johnson bagged himself legs in 15 and 18 darts during his 3-1 win before Alfie Ford made it 5-6 thanks to another 3-1 win that contained an 18 darter for the victor and a leg in 16 from the defeated man, Washington.

180s were plundered by Heather Toney and Marc Webber for Cherry Tree B, but they still fell to a 7-4 loss at the hands of Octagon B.

Andy Bond's 123 checkout for Colebrook in a 7-4 win over Bluebird A was one of eleven scores of a ton or more he plundered in the contest.

Bond's teammate Dan Giles showed his undoubted class with a solid 18 dart leg during an individual triumph by a 3-0 score line.

Jayden Dodd's 14 darter for the away victors came in a 3-0 individual success that helped his team to five out of six triumphs in the singles.

Darren Collis' ten tons included a 124 checkout and one of the two maximums in the contest; a haul that led Victory over the line to a 6-5 triumph over Indian Inn.

Teammate Tony Tasker added the other three treble visit of the contest whilst Tasker teamed with Issac Taylor to claim a 601 leg in just 20 darts.
