Demolition Mann

John Mann top scored with a remarkable eighteen three figure scores in Tradesmans second 10-1 win in a row at the start of the new Monday Premier League season; this week's victims Bluebird A.

Mann was well supported by his teammates as Mike O'Brien also reached fourteen ton plusses for the Stonehouse team whilst Jaden Whitting also added thirteen of his own.

Andy Bates was the next highest scoring player with twelve and Fred Goldsmith was a fifth Tradesmans player to reach the magic double figure mark.

Shaun Dring and Mann shared the honours for the least number of darts with 17 dart legs in their singles wins with Mann adding an 18 darter in a 3-1 win.

O'Brien also chalked up an 18 dart leg in a 3-0 win whilst Alan Masters was the highest scoring player for the Compton team with ten ton plusses.

One of those efforts was a game high 106 checkout in the only point put onto the scoreboard by the defeated team.

Lewis Dare top scored with fourteen three figure scores for Octagon A as they took the lead in the league standings after an emphatic 11-0 whitewash of league newcomers Cherry Tree B.

Dare added a brace of maximums to that impressive total whilst Paul Palmer was the next best ton hitter with a fine eleven effort haul.

Dare's 14 dart leg in his 3-2 win was the best of the match with Lee Hellings adding an 18 darter to his ten ton plusses overall.

Dave Pethick managed the highest checkout of this tie with a magnificent 81 kill in one visit to put the icing on the cake of a brilliant performance from one of the favourites for the title.

A corker of a Bluebird derby between the B and C teams ended with a 6-5 win for the C team with one of many highlights being a 110 checkout from Glenn Austin; the highest across all fixtures this week.

That effort was one of thirteen tons from Austin and beat a 109 from teammate Lee Roberts who added nine more ton plusses to reach double figures.

Glenn Halford was at his usual best with ten tons and a winning leg of 18 darts; a feat that was also matched by stablemate Roberts.

Dan Hurley top scored with fourteen ton plusses for the defeated team whilst teammate Dale Halford reached twelve three figure scores.

Andrew Cook's thirteen ton plusses wasn't enough to stop his King Billy team from falling to a 7-4 home defeat to Union Inn.

A Cook 17 dart leg in his 3-1 singles success was matched by Nathan Langdon who also added an 18 darter in a 3-0 triumph for the Plympton team.

Richard Wheatley was undoubtedly the start of the show as he hit a maximum and ten tons overall in a 7-4 win for Victory A away at Brewery Tap.

Octagon B picked up a second success of the season with a 7-4 win over Cherry Tree A who had Paul Freeman and Matt Nicholson both striking 180s during the tie.
